Update Arenas: Remove Pillars at 3 min mark

You are really grasping at straws at this point and its showing you have no clue what you are talking about. Double rogue was intervened due to people found a way to abuse stealth and blizzard had to deal with it somehow. Compared to a game ends up with a cross kill on both dps which is really rare to begin with. One of the healers usually just taps out then and go for next game.

doesn’t really matter if i grasp at straw when you’ve yet to make a counter argument to the core issue of OP other than play different comps

It does. And you not seeing it makes me unable to enlighten you.

nah it really doesnt, especially since you are the one clearly grasping at straws avoiding even arguing

I have told you multiple times.

IT
WILL
COMPLETELY
MESS
UP
BALANCE

I can sit here and claim due to meele mechanics in pve all meele should do 50% more damage in raids. You will do the same as me and tell me it will mess up balance.
Then I will be like you. Hold my ears and say you arent providing an arguement why it would.

I think it can be done. But it would require rebalancing every single specc in tbc. And blizzard wont do that.

as a rule of thumb, generally you don’t argue with the type of a person who genuinely believes that pillars should be removed from arenas, you just let it slide

The game isn’t balanced to begin with. Doesn’t matter if changes will change the meta in pvp or pve even.

Changes are very needed to balance the game. Or maybe you think it’s perfectly okay that rogues are useless in pve but like 50% of all top pvpers

I didnt start playing tbc to have super big changes in terms of balance. I could play retail if I wanted that.

Since game isnt balanced to begin with lets not make it even worse by buffing mages/warlocks since those are the classes that will benefit the most from this.

i don’t think anyone who plays tbc had played it before, assuming they don’t suffer from some neurological disorder. clearly changes are needed

i agree that removing pillars isn’t a good idea but op still has a point that dragging out games is an issue. Dampening can solve that, at least to much better degree than sight and with a less direct impact like removing los

People who designed sl/sl warlocks, deep thunder/stormherald and entire resist mechanics are walking around feely like they didn’t do anything wrong and we’re discussing pillars here seriously? they should be in prison without parole, if they played their own game it could have been alot better place in terms of balance between classes, but like just Xartt said, noone dove in Classic TBC expecting to play a balanced game, everyone knew what to expect

If you’re unironically wanting pillars removed, you’re bad at the game

It’s Beyondo.

Never take Beyondo seriously.

there is already dampening in the game: mana

Nothing about rogues in there?

If you have problems with rogues as a dwarf disc priest i have very bad news for you

If you have problems with any race/class as a rogue in TBC i have VERY bad news for you aswell

I never claimed I did, but your post is biased. For rogues, make blind a 2 minute CD seems only fair.

That’s some pretty hardcore copium you’re on

Rogue is actually just the god class of TBC pvp and it’s not even remotely close

Yes good idea. We need comps who can constantly reset like rogue/mage to drag out each fight untill 3 minutes have passed, then hardcast opponents into the ground.

Very clever thinking.

This is exactly what I would say if I was a no-skill chump whose entire arena tactics rely on running around them poles and would not want to see poles removed.

In brutal honesty, running around poles is an exploit. This is why many players just park their characters behind poles and they stay there… until Ragnarok if need be. Everything about this smells like cheese, it’s a cheese tactic. It is basically confessing that I do not know how to play my class but I can run around this pole like a Professional.

The poles could be removed from the Arena incrementally. At 3 minute marker, the pole width could be reduced by 50%. And finally at 5 minute marker, the pole would sink into the ground and be removed entirely from the Arena.

This would force people to initiate the fight quickly and not hide behind poles indefinitely. If the battle starts right away, they have 3 minutes of traditional pole running, and then 2 minutes of reduced girth pole running left.
