Revert to a few days ago, you probably went a few hotfixes too far and completely borked it.
40 mins queues in Solo Shuffle, 4-5 h “queues” for the event. Like are they f-ing with us at this point?
What has happend to this event, takes hours and hours to make it pop off. Cant even play it since i cant sit all day at the computer.

7 hours between 2 Ashenvale events in Living Flame today :
11:00, 17:00, 00:34. It’s just unplayable.
We wad this morning bug again one of the leaders was immune and others reset themselves on Horde! % is so slow is unplayable and one of the towers gets to 0% . I really hate how it turned out. Economy on SoD is insane and this pvp event could give us upgrades instead of giving 40g on some items in worst case what I saw some items r up to 800gold.
People r insane with pricing and honestly on 25 lv is just stupid, talking in lfg asking ilv and gs as well
stop ignoring us and make a new blue post or something or answer us!!. you know damm well these changes are unacceptable. 2 events on a entire day… this is ridiculous and you know it. revert back these changes and revert back the hotfixes you did almost 4 days ago when the bugg started to happen and problem solved. its one of your hotfixes that messed it up in the first place
Sounds like the focus on making the battles start simultaneously is done with good intent. However, I believe that you should instead make the ramp-up phase start simultaneously across the layers. It feels like this would solve many of the problems mentioned in the post and will also make the battles start at the same time. The progress bars would be synced and the retiring of layers obviously needs more granularity. Like in the example adding/reducing 25% to the total progress sum for additional/reduced layers would make little sense if a layer had 6 active players. This however would be a minor issue since all battles are already completed.
If they want people not layer jumping, isn’t an “Exhausted - Recently participated in battle.” debuff or similar better? Make it 15 mins, which prevents players from earning additional rep from doing another battle back-to-back. If somehow people still had the debuff when ramp-up phase finishes, the debuff would have to be removed.
I really wish we could keep retiring layers, it makes the world feel more alive. From the post I assume when not retiring layers, newly logged on players gets uniformly divided across all layers? Personally I would prefer filling one layer at a time (even though there are 10 more available), and when that get’s full, split it in two. Ofc this would probably require some fundamental changes to have the layers are built, but still.
Regarding the problem of layers getting full. It sounds like the entire group/raid needs to be moved to a different layer simultaneously. If all battles start at the same time, this probably wouldn’t be an issue (from a player’s perspective at least), unless done mid battle. From a developer’s perspective though, moving 40 players which most probably some are in combat, might be a challenge. I can also see how this could potentially present problems for other outdoor events in the future.
