Update stuck help

I did everything that was posted regarding issue of this initilzating stuck while updating the game and it is becoming more nightmare for me as I have to deal with it like every patch update.

Is there a solid solution for it. I tried to restart, delete cache, delete indices, close everything via task manager, pretty much everything but still not working.

It sometime fetches the files like 101 mb / 101 mb but then go back up update-play-update-play-update-play stuck and it keeps saying ‘waiting on another installation or update’.

Edit: I finally solved it my repeatedly log off and on from my wifi. Apparently although I have internet, it is a connection issue to the Blizzard servers, maybe related to my internet company.

I have been waiting for hours even re-installed battle.net still stuck…

Edit: for example ptr wow downloads fine. It is only the retail update that is stuck.

I had the same issue, and saw someone suggest on the US forums something that worked with far less effort.

Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and find “World of Warcraft Voice Proxy” and end task.

If I had to guess the voice proxy is probably making it count as though WoW is running when it’s not, so it can’t update.

I wasted 50 mins repairing it for it not to work and turns out the World of Warcraft voice proxy was the problem , the whole time. Closed it , it updated without a problem seconds after closing the task.

i cant find that task :frowning: could u pls screen it ? Theres 0 such world of warcraft name tasks ;(

can we recommend this guy for in game rewards? He has saved many users a lot of time and frustration on the Update problem
