Was just fishing, which almost never happens and I realized the fishing pole model is super antique, we’re talking classic level and it needs a refresher.

I’ve often thought it would be nice to have the fishing pole be a transmog option. I’ve a few different looking ones gathered over the years but just don’t use them as they take up bag space and you have the whole equip/unequip thing to do.
Using the legendary one myself though i rarely fish these days.

But that’s so much better than any retail model could ever be, the developers really cared about fishing poles before actiblizz

I use this, I got it from a fishing daily quest reward bag in Wrath.

I personally use the Underlight Angler fishing pole. It is very convenient, and it matches my transmog. 
The problem isnt the model. Its the lack of the transmogrification option for fishing poles.
Model wise there are plenty of decent looking ones
