I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a forum post; but to read this after the season started on March 4th, so since March 4th, people have been planning their dinar acquisition items around the idea of obtaining 1 or 2 items from the raid (as we were informed the Dinars were removed from the renown).
Weeks go by, almost two months, go by with no transparency on how dinars would be approached for people who only do M+ content and those players have meticulously planned their vaults around the slots they would use for their Dinars and then you pull the carpet from under almost every single M+ player, only opening the door for bad luck protection for Mythic Raiders? At this point, even AotC raiders are being punished, because by the time of the acquisition of their first Dinar item, it will be early June, by the acquisition for the second item, it will be end of June/early July? So what does that mean for raid guilds who only do HC and have the loot they need? The Dinars are nothing but a transmog idea?
What we had in the S4 of Dragonflight was perfect, everyone was happy, on one track fully upgradeable and then any spare Dinars were used for any transmog people wanted.
As this is an event, this currently implies anyone outside of the parameters of this event will then be permanently stuck behind everyone who also partakes in this event and will be unable to further upgrade items either because they have been unlucky with their vaults, or again, planned around the Dinar system, which frankly deserves more transparency and I’m actually shocked that something like this would go without any communication to the player base. - yet foregoing these extra upgrade tracks, because they either did not play during this six week “event” or if they rerolled to a character, thus being permanently behind post event?
I don’t know, this actually sounds and feels quite awful - seems purely like bad luck protection for mythic progression raiders only and that’s actually a buzzkill especially considering how late these items are obtainable in this season.
