An improvement, but I guess it’s up to the specific individual if you think the mount is worth it.

Why they can’t give us unused Gladiator mount? Not everyone does PvP and at the high level.

An otter’s better than a yeti, but why not a dragon?

I suppose they have to settle on something. And no matter what they settle on, then the reaction will always be: “Why not x instead of y?”
Why not a dragon instead of an otter? I suppose the otter is a new mount model, so it brings along some of that new car smell.
There’s also the fact that you get Dragonriding in Dragonflight, so a dragon mount is a bit like getting extra cheese on a cheese pizza. It gets a bit too much of the same thing.
And then there are just a lot of dragon mounts in the game already. So even though it’s a dragon-themed expansion, then if you’re a mount collector you’ve got quite a few dragons already. You don’t have any otters.
Seems fine to me. I’m not a mount collector, so the whole thing goes a bit over my head. But if you already have 500 mounts, then it seems a bit superfluous what kind of mount the reward is if you ask me. It’s just another to add to the pile, no?
I guess there’s something to be said for wanting something that really sparkles and shines and stands out, so you can flex some e-peen when you afk in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. But besides that…

I doubt there’s many people who farm mounts to get to that 1 mount from an achievement. It’s just something extra for those who went through the trouble of getting 500 mounts.
I think it’s a cool mount, btw. But since Blizzard are making all mounts, except the dragonriding ones, obsolete in DF, it’s not worth much.

Worth the 500 mount reward.
I don’t expect a unique model because all mount collection achievements are recolors. But the previous recolors makes them kind of unique like feltalon is so green and noticeable, from what i see in wowhead there are other colors and there is the exact same color without an armor so the armor will make this unique? so atleast a better mount recolor that makes it different than the other models maybe change the color of the armor.

I think ANY mount would’ve been worth it. What does 1 mount matter when you have 500 already?
Besides, it’s not something I aim for. If I reach it; cool. If not; cool.

Yay a reskin of 9 other data mined otters that are the same but zero effort to obtain! I can’t wait to get my 500 achievement to not use it! Woop woop!!!

As if you’re using most of those other 500 mounts. 
Mount collecting is just that; collecting.
Most people will have a few go-to mounts they usually use.
Yeah they should remove transmog from raids and from dungeons n all pvp sets cus you don’t use all your transmog so why reward unique awesome things for time effort and dedication

I dont really want to be that guy, but this is not gonna stand out at all, its a recolor of a rep mount…
The Azure Serpent, Frostshard Infernal, Feltalon, yes they’re recolors, but they really stand out and “look special”.
This is not doing that, and it’s 500(!) we’re talking about here.
Give us one of the Amani Bear recolors, a new Qiraji War Tank, heck maby recolor thr Spectral Tiger. At least something noticable.
At least for the 600 achievement which we should also get on release.
