Updated:- Known Issue with Guild Name Change

Final Update:- Support now acknowledge that devs know there is a problem with the Guild Name Change service. However, all they could suggest is to keep trying to see if it’s been fixed. They couldn’t however change it for me.

So, although I’m obviously disappointed I can’t change the guild at the moment, at least I had a realistic answer of sorts.

Edit - I have an update on this - I made another ticket because I’m still having a problem with the error message.

I have enough money both on my credit card AND in my Battle.net wallet. I also know the guild name I want is free.

I am concerned there is a problem with my account.

However, when I submitted another ticket, the response I got not only didn’t address the actual issues I described but the information/advice they gave is incorrect.

The CS reply was:-

"I also checked your account and noticed that you used your last guild name change token back in 2018. And there’s no known issue about this service. I have also looked into your account and wasn’t able to set the order of this service. I’m guessing the purchase didn’t go through because the purchase didn’t go through.

So, if you would like to change the guild name to a new one, you’ll need to obtain another token."

This not only ignored my actual issue - an error at payment - but there are NO Guild Name Change tokens now. The reply doesn’t even make sense -I’m aware my payment didn’t go through, that’s my problem, and there clearly is an issue with the service.

I’m concerned that CS do not have the right information, aren’t actually reading the tickets submitted but also are having difficulty in comprehending the issues being described.

I’m now waiting for a second response but confess I’m not feeling confident about a helpful response.

Hope someone can help me with this because I seem totally stuck.

I’m trying to change the name of my guild. I go through the process in the Shop from the Character Screen, but when I click the ‘confirm’ button I just get a buffering icon then and error message saying ‘An error was encountered. Please come back later.’

I have put enough money in my Battle.net wallet and I’ve tried again several times but with no luck.

I contacted In-Game Support via a ticket but they said there is no known issue with the service and no record of my attempted transaction.

So at this point I’m stuck.

Any help very gratefully received.
