[UPDATED NOV 28] Support a Streamer on Twitch and Earn the Ichabod Pet

My friend streams WoW and he’s been doing so for over a year now, but he is not on the eligible streamers list even though he applied. What is the eligibility of the streamers and why is he left out as I’m a bit confused by this? Throwing money out to random streamers, most of whom are quite abhorrent people, is something a lot think nothing of, but for me personally to give my hard-earned money (which a lot of us are struggling with these days) to random streamers is something that doesn’t sit comfortably with me. I had met a comfortable middle ground by knowing I could do this by supporting a friend, but as he is not eligible, this is now up in the air. Could you please clarify as to why my friend didn’t meet the criteria to be an eligible streamer and why these people did and make them more deserving of my money than my friend?

the answer is simple. you gotta have marketing and PR potential for blizzard. not stream for sake of streaming.

Has anyone got the pet? Just need confirmation that you can subscribe yourself rather that gift it to a stranger.
My understanding is that you cannot buy 2 subscriptions for yourself for the same channel. Because it is recurring, it will automatically renew after 1 month.
So I see the options as:

1. Subscribe yourself to a channel + gift 1 subscription to any channel
2. Subscribe yourself to 2 channels
3. Gift 2 subscriptions to 1 channel or 1 each to 2 different channels

And don’t forget to unsubscribe at the end of the month otherwise your subscription will be renewed.

i subscribed to 1 channel via Prime sub, then another via Bank card. Both streamer eligible and were online and streaming WoW.
But i still did not get any promo code anywhere in Twitch.

Amazon prime gaming 1 free sub/month does not count??
