According to the blues, we can save time by just doing the highest difficulty we can

Is there anyone who obtained their cracked titan Gem on a Sarkoreth kill that was not their first Sarkoreth kill of the week in any difficulty?

I am wondering if there is any confirmation about if it only can drop on the first kill of any difficulty so I want to know if when I first kill Sark on normal in a week I am locking out myself of a higher drop chance on heroic Sark or if each difficulty has its own independent chance to get it like with the rest of the loot.

Edit: Scooberdhoob confirmed it can drop on a kill in another difficulty.

Based on how Wowhead wrote it, I assume it’s independent chance per difficulty.

One of our evoker alts got it on their 2nd kill of the week they got it.

That I am not screwing my drop chances if I do normal first.

I updated the OP because Blizzard finally decided to come clean about how the drop rate works.

Just killing Sark on your highest difficulty has the same combined odds as killing him on each difficulty going from easier to harder.

Your chances are the same with these three options in a given week:

  • Doing just Heroic
  • Doing Normal then Heroic
  • Doing LFR, then Normal, then Heroic

You do not have to go watch people parking on firebombs on LFR.
