So I already google for answers for that one, found some similar topics here and on reddit.
However not a single resolution to this works.
I tried installing the launcher to test the new expansion but i guess blizzard don’t want me to since during the installation it just dead stop at 45%. It has been like that sine 4 hours now and after waiting that long i decided to test some ways to resolve this:
I tried:
-Deleting the “Battle.Net” folder from the C:/Program Data
-Changing language from plPL in the registry to enUS (as suggested, altho i am not from US so i don’t know how this solution was supposed to help me)
-Change the .cs line in the “program.ds” file in porgram data/battle.net - but failed to do so as this file has only like 1 sentence in it and there is no “.cs” located in the file.
-Restarting my PC
-Deleting everything that was named “battle.net” or had that in it’s name from my PC.
-Disabling firewalls or anti-viruses
Nothing works
What i realized however is that when i launch battle.net setup it will wait in the “downloading files” part with 9% for like 2-3 minutes and then instantly jump to update agent 45%.
If i launched the setup at least once and even if i managed to close it i cannot delete the “battle.net” file from program data i need to restart my pc because for some reason my pc thinks that i am somehow still utilizing this folder (i checked task manager, i couldn’t find anything as a leftover)
It’s a shame because i tried to go back to WoW but i guess i am not allowed to. Good that i didn’t bought the subscription before downloading the launcher.
Addendum - to add to this i want to mention that i did play in July and had no problems with it, it’s the same setup, same computer, i did nothing major on it, only installing and uninstalling games or apps unrelated to video games.
I have absolutly no clue what suddenly happened that i am not allowed to download the battle.net
