And after i tried to log in servers said “incompatible”
And now there is another update which will probably take one more hour xddd

If you have a VPN, pause the download and close the Blizz app,
switch your VPN to the USA
Re-open the Blizz app and continue the download.
It will then take seconds

WoW has the slowest patching ever recorded in human history. It can take 5 minutes or more just for it to figure out what to download.

I’ll just say it: This started happening after they switched data formats. The old MPQ format was better.

A potential fix is force closing the agent exe in the task manager. Emphasis on potential as for some it works (doing it every time that sorry excuse of a launcher refuses to patch and most of the time it works) and for some it doesnt.

As always, something goes wrong from a previous patch. Every time I was stuck at Initializing, scanning and repairing the game actually found errors in files.

Try that, and when you have free time do a full chkdsk of the partition you have WoW installed on.

Go to your wow installation. Start wow.exe. Close the game. The download should now complete instantly. Press play.

Works for me since this bug occurred the first time.

For me it only occoured yesterday for the first time. As soon as it stopped downloading/initialising I paused it a few minutes and started it again, it carried on without issues after that.
