Upgrading from green (w/ weaverline) to blue fishing rod - do I waste seekerthread and anglerthread?

I have the green quality fishing rod, to which I have added a weaverline. I have used all the seeker/angler threads I had available to this weaverline.
I understand I will need to create a new weaverline and attach it to the new rod, but do I lose all the upgrades I did?
Hopefully, it “remembers” and when I create a new weaverline on the same character it transfers over the threads applied?

Right now i’m holding onto my threads, in fear i would waste them.

I’ve been looking into this too, but the weaverline with the seeker/angler threads seems useless untill you get at least 120 threads.
A simple enchant gives you 120 perception.

According to the weaverline achievement details you ‘Share the Anglerthread/Seekerthread across your Warband’

I’ve not collected enough spare weavercloth to make a second weaverline so I don’t know if it genuinely works but if it does then when changing rods, with the ridiculous cost of a second weaverline added, you should get the bonuses.

Whether it actually works or not, given the state of Blizzard coding efforts, is another thing entirely…
