Use Netherwalk for everything

So we got nerfed and a lot of DH are having problems.

I have to say though I actually kinda like using Netherwalk. It does feel more skill based when I use an active button for defense rather than having a passive defensive that keeps me alive all the time. We have 3, but the other two feel pretty bad… Darkness particularly sucks. *

I use it in dungeons, raid, pretty much every pvp match I play now.

One of the few comps I found leech to be better against was SP Warlock.

They don’t have enough burst to warrant needing Netherwalk and you have enough uptime on target to actually get use out of leech.

Pretty much the game is all about burst now. And in dungeons and raid you can rely on being good at avoiding attacks and your healer. It’s much more useful I’ve found to keep Netherwalk in the pocket and use it just before you think you’re gonna die. This gives your healer time to react and get a cd up if needed, and get that all important clutch heal on you.

People think DH is a no skill no brain class. Prove people wrong by taking Netherwalk, save your trinket for the Rogue burst and simply trinket Netherwalk. The Rogue will have used a lot of cds thinking all his dmg will go off in the opener, so keep the pressure up and don’t let them reset. Or kill their partner so they have to come out of stealth.

Keep switching targets! It’s all about cd management and counting off cds from the opponent. If their cds amount to not much dmg but you get a lot out of yours, you’re on the right track!

We do die way too quick though… And our ST dmg is rubbish. Please buff Blizz <3

But yeah, just wanted to let the DH community know, Netherwalk is very useful right now. Consider running this from now on instead of leech.

*Edit: and I just wanted to add, I hate all the arbitrary mechanics trying to keep DH standing still. Darkness being stuck to the floor, Soul Fragments needing to be picked up (I really hate needing a heal in pvp to keep me alive, spawning one, and still dying because I didn’t move to absorb it) and Glaive Tempest not moving with us. - Now our defensives have been taken away, I feel like keeping DH standing still with all these mechanics is no longer good for the class and feels bad in general. We have enough slows and stuns coming on us, we don’t need our own abilities making things harder for us.

Thank you, I’m beginning to feel the same and you made that clear. I will dearly miss soul rending though

I logged in to try it out in pvp since I haven’t used it in a while. As soon as I saw 3 minute cd, 5 seconds only, and unable to attack I just logged out. Meanwhile rogue evasion lasts 10 seconds on 2 min cd and it’s baseline.

Yeah, no, dont use Netherwalk unless you face RMX or Jungle or if you have to go for Immunities in Raid Soaks.

No leech hurts a lot harder than a 3 minute CD that gives 5 second Invulnearability. Netherwalk is a dead talent outside of the above situations, but so is Desperate Instincts.

Its not like the leech helps you since ppl in this season flop within a second or two, mostly in stuns.

Desperate Instincts has been dead for 2 expansions

If only it triggered even when blur was on cd, with 9sec cd reduction from conduits and the +10% dmg reduction I think it would be good then.

Desperate Instincts should let you pop Blur while CCed

That would probably be too strong tbh.

I don’t think so, it would come at the cost of 0 self heal.

That’s a 30% reduction to all dmg pllus a 50% dodge everytime we get stunned, it’s huge. It would make us softly immuned to stuns as people wouldn’t want to stun a dh knowing their burst will go to waste.

Make it so it can only occur once every minute, even while on cd

Erm no, I was saying that you’d be able to use it while stunned, not that it would be up 24/7 while stunned.
