I used one of my old SL 50 boosts on an alt.
I already have a lvl 70 character, but Chromie just tells me that “maybe she can send me back once I have toured the city” but I can’t seem to tour the city at all.
I am stuck in BFA dungeons and on the SL questline.
Any solutions?
There’s a thing with characters that decide to do the tutorial after Exile’s Reach that they can’t access chromie time until they’ve done it all including the intro to BFA
If you already have a level 60 character but choose to take the city tour, your character will be pushed a shortened version of the Battle for Azeroth questline. To unlock the Chromie Time option, you must complete the introductory questline up through A Nation Divided (Alliance) or Speaker of the Horde (Horde). Once you have completed the introductory questline, you can go back to your faction’s main city and talk to Chromie in Stormwind or Orgrimmar to pick a different questing area.
While I would report it as a bug ingame since I don’t think it’s meant to happen to boosted characters (unless it’s a character that did complete Exile’s Reach and stopped mid way of the intro), but the only workaround I can think of at the moment is to start the BFA intro and do it until the quest mentioned above (based on your faction of course).
You can try and see if Garrick/Grimaxe are standing in the city entrance (where they would after completing Exile’s Reach) and if you can talk to them to skip it but I kind of doubt that’s the case.
But how would I even start the BFA questline if I am stuck in the SL questline and can’t chromie time to BFA?
Also, didn’t really start any tutorial. After using my 50 boost I just started in orgrimmar ready to go into Shadowlands.
There’s an NPC near the hero/warchief board that gives that questline, though if you used a boost I’m not sure it might be marked as completed.
Do you have the achievement Welcome to Zandalar on that specific character?
BTW there is no “Chromie time” to BFA, BFA is the present timeline as far as Chromie is concerned.
Oh I see. The NPC near the warchief board didn’t give any quest. I’ll check the achievment once I’m back online.

Just to be sure, was it earned by the affected character? I’m not asking if you have it on your account in general because if that character doesn’t have it means it should still be able to do the BFA intro.
If that character did get that achievement then frankly I can’t begin to guess the cause.

I feel the same way.
My guess is that since I started the character and went into Exiles Reach, but used the boost midway through there’s something from Exiles Reach that’s tagged as “unfinished” and that’s why I can’t.
I guess I’ll just delete the character and make a new one. Feels like it’s gonna be faster than to do the extremely overtuned BFA dungeons anyway lol.
Make a ticket, ask for staff help, maybe they can fix it, even if it involves them just remaking your character or something.
Would be a shame to lose a boost over this.
