I know it used to be quite common and I’m pretty sure it is still a used way for transfering gols between Alliance and Horde: using two accounts, and via the neutral AH selling vendor trash for a high amount of gold and buying it with the second account.
Is it still “legal”? I ask that because of the new regulations on multiboxing and such.

From my knowledge it’s fine yeah.
I recently re-rolled to Alliance from Horde and traded all my Gold over via neutral AH in BB and two accounts. I traded over like 2700g and lost like 500g if I remember correctly.
Sniping is the real problem, at least it was in Classic…
On a lot of realms if you are quick you are fine, I have done this a few times on different realms and never been sniped.
