What happened to it? Trollers from the Valley of Strength have recently bled over to the Valley of Honor. I am uncertain if they are trolling or not, but these people keep using OOC language and speak of OOC things, while ‘IC’.
It’s been dead for a while now. Not sure really what happened to Horde RP, but it’s become even more guild-based than before and there isn’t any serious ‘hub’. Unless I’m missing something.
The Valley of Honor was the hub. Always has been. It dying is of course sad, but even worse is when it gets replaced by the Valley of Strength people
Shadowlands as an expansion sucks.
Players leaving the game is especially bad for roleplayers because we already are the minority. Of course this means even more trolls show up. Best to report them though.
Sucks if true. Got a lot of fond memories of Horde RP by that tree in Valley of Honour, watching the spars, etc., but I gotta admit it was always a bit of a crappy “main hub” for Horde.
Alliance had an entire city, where every district minus two (Trade/Dwarven) had RP at all hours, whilst Horde had one half of one single district (I say ‘one half’ cos the nearby AH attracts mostly OOC players). I’m not sure why RP never properly and consistently spread to the other districts on the Horde capital, but I imagine it’s a low population thing.
Ultimately the Valley of Honour only really had The Tree and the tavern, which aren’t two environments that can breed a terrific amount of RP. Gets boring sparring for the 600th time, or emoting Gravy pouring you a drink.
But yeah like Krar said, it’ll probs pick up again if 9.1 is any good.
I mean, Gravy is the -true- MVP of the Horde.
PCU guilds are out on a set of campaigns; the guilds that usually maintain RP in the VoH.
The city’s lay out also doesn’t help.
As an alliance oocers you can do everything you need in the trader quarter and fly directly to the mage tower if you need to port anywhere or fly to the transmog guy. Orgrimmar has this one large circle with useful commodities spread all around it, and other smaller circles attached to it. The issue is that if you want to IC move from one district to the other you have to pass through that same big circle oocers have to go through to do their things. The giant mesa in the middle also prevents oocers from flying over head.
