With the new update today the new valor cap has been like conquest points, now sorry if i dont really understand this, but i just bought valor pants for 2200, and my valor is now down to around 200 and season max says 200/6000 something. Does this mean i can now farm 6k again?

yeah there is no valor cap now basicly like honor now
also confused im at 1300/6400 but cant get more for some reason. this is not the weekly cap; nor does it seem to make up for the missing valor from last week’s bug where I couldnt cap out at all for the rest of the week

It’s a visual bug, you’ll stop earning valor once you hit the cap, depending on which week of Cata you hit 85/started HC’s/raids.
The interface for it is just messed up, but you cannot earn 6k valor now unless you only just hit 85.

Anyone know what the weekly cap is now then? since conquest is 4k is valor also 4k?
if am correct its 1600 per week, but am capped at 4000 and it should be 1600x3 = 4800
you can’t have more than 4k at the same time. But if you spend it you can have 1600 per every week where you didn’t get valor cap previously, and each week you can get 1600 additional valor
It’s a visual bug, what you see is not what the reality is.
If you can’t get anymore VP, it means you reached the cap.
You’ve earned 6400 VP this season out the of the 6400 possible. If you still have 1300 unspent, it would mean you have spent 5100 so far.
Hopefully they will fix the interface fast because it is very confusing.

For the confused people, use the above script. It will tell you (After you look at it for a bit) how much you have, and how much you can still get.
Aggrend and the boiz doing an amazing job in Cata. Bug after bug after bug after bug. Funny thing, most are copy paste of the same issue every time anything is changed. And on top they even managed to port over a few of the original early Cata bugs from like 15yrs ago.
The “totalEarned” is how much you have had in total over all this time, and “maxQuanity” is how much you can have by the end of the week. Aka I am 135 valor away from this weeks cap.

You gotta remember. Blizz/Microsoft is small indie companies, that dont have that high of a budget. Tiny mistakes like these will come, as their interns that run the WoW Platform havent played any MMORPG b4. Patience my young one.

Considering how many times players have had to fix game bugs lately via scripts, addons or other measures. Certain players should really be paid by Blizzard as part-time employees.
Cataclysm is one of my favourite expansions of all time, and it’s a shame if it’s not gonna get the dev love it deserves.
