Is the valor point cap meant to not carry over to the next week if you don’t reach the cap for that week?
It seems like a bit of an oversight to not change this to carry over if so, seeing as Cata is supposedly going to last for less than a year. For the people who didn’t level and do heroics immediately or for those wanting to gear alts, it seems like a pretty poor decision based on the length of time we expect to be in this expansion/phase.
Like I had to change my main character for the good of the raid team on Sunday, and only had time to level it up and do a few heroics last night, but now I’ve essentially been punished for helping the guild as i wasn’t able to reach Valor cap week one.
Just interested to get peoples opinions on whether it would be a good idea for it to carry over, and if not, why would it be a bad idea?
Was just about to log in and see if anyone talking about this. Just dinged an alt and saw that my valor cap is 1600 for week 2 -_- why not have it be 3200 and next week 4800 etc. Such and easy win to have the cap be exactly the same for everyone for alts and players who want to level slower. Now alts/slow levelers are forever after in progress.
It’s cap on how much valor you can earn per week, not how much you can have on you. It is not really that big deal as you will have everything you need from valor points long before firelands comes out in phase 3 anyways. It’s already much faster than original cata where the cap was 1000 per week.
Increasing the cap weekly makes absolutely zero sense at all and i am astonished that you and apparently two other individuals would think that this could be a good idea
