Value of professions in shadowlands

Hi all,
any reason to level up my profession of BFA before shadowlands?

Are there benefits from professions?

The only prof with any benefit from early skillup is engineering due to the old tools. But so far theres nothing really good for SL engi.

Remember, each expansion have its own skill tier. They were split back in Legion.

Any idea what is the fastest way to get the boots? Shall I do in bfa tier?

Boots? Do you mean nitro boost?

Nitro boost comes from Northrend tier engineering
