Vampiric Embrace on yourself?

Hi everyone

I just started playing my Priest a week ago, and I have been wondering whether or not this spell works on myself?

If I am soloing content and suddenly need fast healing, can this spell be used to give me back my health?

The reason I’m asking is because I was told a hard “NO, it doesn’t not work on yourself”, but it seems that it does…

EDIT:

Alright so I kept testing it and it DOES work on yourself. In case anyone else needs to see this I can confirm it does.

Feels silly that I had this extra CD after leveling aaaaalll the way to lvl 95 without ever using it once, because someone told me it “only works in party or raids”

Vampiric embrace works on everyone in your group within range, including you. However.

It only heals one person at a time, it takes a the damage you did between the last tick and heals one person with it, meaning it’s not quite an aoe heal or a reliable group pick me up.

The heal isnt smart, meaning the only criteria for it to heal someone is they are damaged, not necessarily the lowest health or the one in need of healing.

Thanks for clearing it up
I was aware that it was a single target healing spell, but I didn’t know that it didn’t prioritize the lowest health player

When you say:

Does that mean that it jumps between allies? I had the impression that it stuck to only one person?

They are considered individual heals, it’s not a spell that jumps from one player to another like prayer of mending for example.

Yes VF works well for solo situations. Even shine a bit, because targets only you.

Vampiric embrace with + void eruption does a lot of healing!
