I think Vampiric/Blood healer/support tree would fit nice in the game, priest already has things like Vampiric touch, Vampiric embrace, Mindgames etc. Blood DK is based about self heal, there could be a tree that uses that type of spells to be healer/support amplifying party heal effects from doing damage and using own health for targeted larger, targeted heals, that is recovered by doing damage but providing limitation on how much you can heal others.
Kind of like less shield more transfusion version of disc
Then with that logic, you’re pretty much killing off DK tanking. What if we were to remove brews from Brewmasters, sigils and self healing from DHs, auras and consecration from Paladins, shields from Prot Warriors, bear form from Druids?
from my pov - all these self heals need to be nerfed they are far to powerful - tanks should really have more powerful damage mitigation abilities to reduce the amount of damage and manage their survivability around this. The same goes for DPS all their self heals coupled with 3rd party is too strong and they should depend on healers.
Basically putting things back to what they used to be. Of course that would require a lot of changes made by the developers and unfortunately we know they won’t do that, as it requires effort and I doubt chat gpt will do that work for them.
But I do see your point of view on this one.
I used we had threat dumps, like we used to do in the past as well. If you do too much dmg and you can pull aggro so quickly. I’ve yet to see aggro being pulled (outside of leveling up a new character).
All classes back then had abilities, where you would have to use faint death, fade, vanish etc to drop all that threat or you’d end up killing the whole group as the tank scrambles to try and get aggro back.
