Ven'ari rep on alts

So the thread is about people who don’t want to spend money, don’t want to spend time… and you wanna start the expansion late… and still want the same progression speed as every one else.

Seems awfully entitled to me.

This is why I am going to just gear my alts with my covenant set.

You misstook my words good sir!

The thread is about catching up to players who have MORE time to play the game.

We already pay a subscription to PLAY the game, to now add P2Progress items in shop would mean people paying to play 100% of the game rather than just 50% (Just the monthly subscription). That’ll cause more elitism which people want to avoid.

The whole “spend time”, is a luxury that only a lucky few have it, could be your case but not for others, does this mean we should leave them behind because they “work” or have family/friends/loved ones to prioritise? No.

As to start an expansion late, well, I feel sorry for the people who decided to join WoW now after being convinced by a friend, guess we’ll just have to tell them to leave again because they’re too late to join, no point joining the game now, by your logic.

To be entitled would be to DEMAND, people aren’t DEMANDING, people are ASKING if they could help out a casual rather than putting them down to rot and gain dust because “they were too late” to “git gud”.

that is a lie.

there was absolotulely no problem with playing this way in wolk-wod era.

it was however imposible to play like this since legion - and Ion lied to player what they are going away from that model in SL

they didnt and players feel cheated

Because those expansions were in the “Not enough content” catagory, where you had to make new characters since you “Ran out” of content to do on your main.

So now in recent expansions they add expansion long progressions to try and remove the whole “There’s not enough content” complain.

? Just how was legion and BFA not ‘alt friendly’ in that regard? If you’re not a top tier mythic raider, or high end pvp person or what not, why couldnt you run alts on those expansions? I did that perfectly fine o.O

I don’t mind stuff not being account wide, however I do mind if time-gated content is not account wide. Reputations should be account wide because it’s inherently time-gated for the vast majority of them.

I was keeping my alt Monk up to speed with Ven’ari but doing the Maw every day on top of all the other stuff got a bit tiresome and intrusive to the other stuff I’d like to do, so instead I got the Beastwarrens unlocked on her and now I’ll just weekly my way to sockets & conduits.

Ven’ari truly is the thing that sticks out as a counter to “Shadowlands being alt friendly”. And it’s all caused by them ignoring the development side of the Maw for far too long in beta, and ended up rushing some kind of rewarding and content structure out the door.

Removing time gating for money?

I cannot express my feelings toward this idea without expletives.

I was maining arms war and was thinking of leveling and gearing up a 2nd main, an MM hunter… I guess I’ll have to skip the maw entirely for now… I mean… it is only a socket I guess and a random conduit upgrade… I guess I’ll pass for now. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve played many games where that is an option, and it always make them more enjoyable, Faster & easier progression.

and imo it’s time for WoW to get with the times and allow people to progress in a way that’s more enjoyable.

Yeah, and all those games are bad.

Stop. Halt. No.

Power should not come from money. We should not have people pay potentially hundreds of dollars to get their characters up to speed. It’s exploitative, especially when they already paid for the game and the subscription. The whole purpose of making those paid is precisely to and having to do garbage like that.

It already does in WoW tho, you can buy all sorts of boosts with gold, But the thing is with those boosts you are still at the mercy of Blizz’s RnG systems for raid drops and also giving gold to the boosters, If you added that straight to the store, You could cut out the middle man completly.

I would love to see that heroic raid box as a buyable option in the store.

The only boost you can get with gold is mostly Flasks that can be made by other players (if they have the profession), other “Boosts” is to purchase armor pieces that drop from mobs yet, those don’t “change” much, the other boosts is just a character LEVEL boost in the end it’ll be up to the players skill to make the power count.

I agree with Ishayoe on this one, to add irl money to boost a character would just make it worse for those who can’t afford and last thing you want is to make the game only exclusive to those who have more money that they can spend.

I dono what you are on about tbh… But there’s plenty of people who are selling torghast 1-8 layer boost, M+ 10, Normal & heroic raid boosts, arena boosts etc.

Gold is not money… never mind, thanks Blizz.

It’s terrible what has happened, but your ridiculous idea would make it even worse.

Just allow people to catch up. No money, no time-gating, no nothing.

I am not going to change my mind about this. It’s not modern, it’s not cool, it’s exploitation of new players - the group of people we most need and want. Let’s not send them away.

Even as far back as 2005 there has been gold buying for money, the WoW token just added it to the blizz store… and i want the stuff you get from buying boosts to also be implemented into the store.

I have not bought gold from any 3rd party ever, but i’m afraid that the boosters probably sell the gold to those sites. So it would be better if the gear was straight from the blizz store instead.

And it was a reportable offence for a reason. It’s corrosive to the game and its mechanics. It still is. God only knows why they changed their mind.

Ah, you mean the same boosts that aren’t endorsed by Blizzard? Those boosts that aren’t exactly trustworthy or atleast not reliable because they can ask for more for what can be done with a group of friends or randoms? Specially now that Torghast has been nerfed

As i said to the other posters, It would be nice if they could add all that to the blizz store, so that we don’t have to go through the people from chat.

Tho i don’t know what you mean by

I’ve never had any bad experiences with either M+ or raid boosts, In Legion, BFA or Shadowlands, Tho boosts this early in the expansion is quite expensive, only bought 1 M+10 so far.
