Was thinking of switching to Kyrian from Nightfae but for raiding the Sims for NF are at +300 dps.
Its just Niya’s spiked burrs doing so much damage and pelagos soulbind is kinda boring.
Is it me or is kyrian only better in m+ with big pulls but Raiding, PvP and general mob killing while farming NF blows it out of the water with more powerful soulbinds?
Elysian Decree helps with threat on virtually every pack in M+. Phial of Serenity is really useful (even more so if you go Kleia and take Ascendant Phial). If ED was available for my Guardian I would swap from NF, but I don’t raid/pvp on it.
Kyrian is absolutely irrelevant unless you go for very high keys, where Elysian Decree and your feathery friend are gonna be a lot more helpful than slightly more Mobility.
I’d suggest going NF if you also play a fair bit of Havoc because then you have the option of also doing half-way serious PvP since NF is the best choice for Havoc.
They are good but far from necessary. I would even dare to say they only show their true potential in the very high keys where mass pulls are needed. Otherwise The Hunt is just as good with equal damage and somewhat defensive.
How is equal damage and somewhat defensive ‘just as good’ as equal damage and generates souls, plus a phial that heals and removes bleeds/necrotic stacks?
I agree that you don’t need Kyrian, but not that the others are as good as Kyrian. All covenants are good enough for the vast majority of content. Kyrian is more forgiving of mistakes and that makes it better.
You can play pretty much any covenant as Vengeance if your group needs a specific bonus in dungeon but individually Kyrian is still the best I think. Nighfae soulshape ability is also kinda worthless for dh which already has great mobility.
