Venrukis commentary on arms warrior

Haha this is the funniest comparison I have ever seen.

A guy with 20 R1s who play like 5k games+ per season, has 3k experience in 2v2 and plays at 1.8k-2k range wins 73% of his games means that he is wrong about sub not being S-tier anymore?

Sub is not “bad” by any means but it is worse than the S-tier specs atm.

I agree with that point. If they implement Ignore Pain in the current Arms state, it will be s+ tier again. I thought we had enough butt pain with arms during SL.

Well, from what i have gathered from various streams the population of Rets has already increased. Also keep in mind how easy it is to level AND gear up now.

(btw, i prefer conversations like this instead of constantly trashing on each other)

I would rather check stats on leaderboard then spilling all those “warrior have everything OPOP”, especially not until IP return

btw, i kinda forgot to reply to this. Answer: nobody. He is just like everybody else. It’s like listening to Xaryu or Whaaz. Both are insane players. But as good as they are in the game, as biased are they.
I just found this video a good base for discussion here.

We already see Arms on high rating, so what exactly are you aiming at?

Yesterday there have been 11 Arms Warrior on 2.7+ in RSS. The target status was 12 at that time based on low rating popularity of Arms in rss, so they were actually exactly in the range where they should be.

They had weaknesses in the beginning, but their damage got several times buffed and two days ago, they also got a defense buff, or lets say a buff, that allows them to be more often in def stance.

If they get Ignore Pain on top of it, which would basically be spam able by the rage gain currently, you don’t need to be a genius to see what will happen.

are… are you telling me warriors were just gaslighting us all along?

I took a glimpse on Drustvar and the top rating is 31XX, the best SS Arms (2853) couldn’t even make it top 100

Few post on reddit worth reading
Relative SS Spec Performance Over 2200 : worldofpvp (reddit.com)

-20% damage reduction-> -15% damage reduction → (0.85 - 0.8)/0.8 = 6% damage increase during arms’s d-stance which won’t contribute to burst potential

IP return is huge, but enough for Arms to break through all those BS specs currently above it? We will see

And yet Warrior is still the least represented class at 2k7+

Warrior still have lots of issues in PvP. But yeah, the 500% damage to absorb shield can be broken against particular specs if timed correctly.

Nah man. Only raw # matters and warrior zug zug OP

Look here https://imgur.com/a/pLmR142

85/80 = 1.0625 → Means 6.25% more dmg in def stance compared to before. You don’t think that matters? They are very welcome to revert that buff then in my opinion!

BS specs? If there is BS spec, its Arms. And IP with the current rage generation is so huge, that they will have it nearly permanently up. So they will lead the ladder again in a dominance like back in SL season 1!

Why? Because not only got and get they buffed insanely, but also do other specs get nerfed. In total that leads to Arms being S-tier again.

Like I said, Arms is nearly on the spot on high rating where it should be based on low rating representation → https://imgur.com/a/pLmR142

If a R1 Rogue that plays at 1600 rating for a living wasn’t winning 80% of his games, I’d be rather concerned.

Do some explanation please?
“target stat/number” is on what target?
ratio of what to what?
Also why not 1 column for 1 rating range?

Not enough to move them above tier, that required something like Destro damage buffs

I still find the reddit post I linked has way more readability than yours, I also don’t see representation is considered in spreadsheet

This is still so disturbing. How he became famous with this is just sad to me.
I know he’s very good at high rating as well, but I do believe his famous “selfie” games gained more subs to him.

Guy is clueless about most stuff in pvp.

This is what happens when you remove gear rating requirements. People just reroll to the next fotm and be geared within a day. You’ll fight rerollers all day err day

It’s easy. It takes the ladder on lower rating and see what specs are how popular. After that you take the low rating representation percentage wise and compare it with high rating representation.

There have been 1251 Arms warrior yesterday at that time >=1800 rating based on Drustvar. In total 29303 players >=1800. That is a ratio of ca 4.3%. Means in average every 23th player was an Arms Warrior.

On 2700 rating, there have been 286 players in total. 286/29303 ~ 1%. Means that not even 1% of the player above 1800 also have been on 2700 rating.

If you now just multiply 1251 with the 286/29303 you get 12.2 expected Arms warriors on >=2700 rating. Means around 4.3% of the player base above 2700 rating, as that was their ratio on “low” rating.

In total we counted 11 Arms on >=2700 rating. That is within a normal margin of 10%. Means 12.2 Âą 10% to 15%. So everything within a range of 10-14 warriors would fit the expectations.

True, but with all the nerfs to the other classes it was enough to move them into medium to upper A tier. Why do they need to get into S+ tier with bringing IP back, especially when they can literally spam it?

Why is it not okay for Warrior to have a weakness? Why do they always need to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest spec ingame? If they aren’t best melee, Warriors always act like as if they are trash tier.

Nothing wrong with that. Let people play what they enjoy the most. If you don’t want that, ask the devs to make everything fotm → in other words, perfect balance.

I didnt say anything is wrong with it? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

People dont play what they enjoy but whats strongest.

Nothing left to say, warrior mains are really silent now though.

It’s smart, really. Appeal to the masses (low skill players), be a good player, spread fake positivity, scream that they’re part of a movement every 10 seconds and profit to become a millionaire.

There’s a reason that the ‘good players’ that stream aren’t successful - because they’re boring robots with no unique selling point.
