I feel that this ability is such a let down from what could have been. Vespers are literally bells in the game that resonate as you hit them (with a “cleansing” effect), so instead of having the totem in that boring state, why not change it to a “real” vesper totem?
the concept:
Vesper Totem
X cooldown
Drop a vesper totem in front of you for Y seconds that you can attack. Every time you damage the totem it deals X% of that damage to nearby enemies and Y% of that damage healing to allies. Deals reduced damage to additional enemies.
To some people this might remind you of a mage talent, the old prismatic crystal. I really feel that the theme fit SO well of you hitting that totem and it “cleansing” the area when resonating (damaging enemies and healing allies).
So, do you guys find this more fitting than the current spell, or is it just me?
P.S. even for resto the intent is to dps and turn that dps to healing for the party.
