Hey, I just wanna know if there’s a viable build without using Essence Break?
Doesn’t need to be completely even with the ones on wowhead nor icyveins, just need to be within like 10-15% of them.
I just really don’t like the essence break playstyle and while momentum is annoying, I can at least live with it.
So is it possible to avoid the left side of the havoc tree and still maintain relevant dps, or should I just play something else and hope they make changes?
Also, in case I play something else, which class would feel the most like the old legion/bfa playstyle of havoc with big juicy eye beams and metas?
Not without essence break, but it gets explained bellow.
This build performs alright, it ain’t the best build and is behind the meta build by aprox 10-15%. Now, as I want to do eyebeams and be in meta, that is all I cared for the build to do. On AoE it is fine, on ST it falls off. Still, at least there is no momentum. I dislike that passive with a passion.
Now, you dont want essence break, so, you could remove it and move it over to anywhere you want it to go - but you will lose the burst potential of it. If you go full crit/versa(or mast), the big dam from the essence break is worth it and is more or less just a tool to help meta burst be good and functional.
If you don’t want to go down a crit heavy path, essence break is easier to get away from, as you don’t really need the Crit% dam nodes - you could go for the Any Means Necessary nodes; I don’t because - I dislike the glaivetoss build as well as momentum.
Don’t worry, you can still kill the mythic bosses with my silly build or any build, but - I play with people who are fine with the drawback. Don’t forget - it is suboptimal. You will be subpar. Yet, if you are fine with it and your mates are fine with it, it is all fine and dandy. So play it your way!
Thanks for the help, but I think if no essence break isn’t viable, then I’m inclined to just play something else till 10.2.
I’ve heard that alternative builds become viable there.
