Victim of mass reports or system error?

Hello, community! I’d like to share my story and, hopefully, raise awareness for others.

About Me

I’m an active World of Warcraft player with 7 WoW: The War Within accounts on my Battle.net, plus one starter account. In total, I have around 360 characters at level 70+ across these accounts. For the last couple of months, I’ve been diving into professions, and about 100 of my characters have professions that I actively use for crafting and earning gold.

How I Used Professions

Here’s how my typical routine looked: I’d sit down at my computer, open multiple WoW windows, launch Discord, and start working with my professions. For example, I’d log into Wow1, buy cloth, and make spools from it. While the spools were crafting, I’d switch to Wow2 and craft rolls, then on Wow3 I’d make bracers. A couple more characters were handling thaumaturgy. You could usually find me standing near the mailbox, crafting in one spot.

I’d often sit in Discord with my guildmates, teaching them how to use professions effectively. And to be clear, I never used any software or clickers for automation. Every action was performed manually, and I often demonstrated this to friends in Discord.

The Account Ban Issue

Two weeks ago, I received an email stating that all 8 of my WoW accounts were banned for “using account hacking programs.” I was shocked, as I’d done nothing wrong. I immediately submitted an appeal, confident that support would investigate and quickly restore my accounts. Unfortunately, I was very wrong…

Over the past two weeks, I’ve submitted around 8 appeals. Each time, I received an automated response: “We checked, you are guilty, and we will not investigate further! If you have additional concerns, open another ticket.”

Why I’m Posting This

I understand that the forum isn’t a place for ban discussions, but in my case, I’m convinced this was a mistake. It feels like my appeals are only being processed by a broken automated system, with no human review.

I’m posting here to bring attention to the fact that this system isn’t working correctly. When a player is mistakenly flagged, it’s currently impossible to resolve the issue through regular support channels. Blizzard, please review this approach and allow players in situations like mine to have a fair chance to prove their innocence.

If you have any video footage of what you were doing maybe you can send it with an appeal? I’m personally unsure if Blizzard have any issues with using multiple accounts at the same time like this so I’m unsure but if you have 8 accounts for professions I can see how it would get flagged. Keep trying to appeal I guess if you believe you haven’t broken any of the game rules, nothing much else can be done unfortunately. GL.

They don’t permit discussions of account actions on these forums.

“Account hacking programs” however, means you were detected by Warden, or similar systems and not mass reported.

Ban appeals are not automated, someone looks at each appeal manually, and they confirmed the ban.

That means you are running something on your PC, that Blizzard doesn’t want running while their game is active.

There is nothing on my computer that could cause such suspicion from Blizzard… I don’t play other games and don’t use third-party programs… All I have are Blizzard games and standard Windows programs.

The forum isn’t the appropriate place to appeal an account suspension. For more information, please visit the pages Appealing a Silence, Suspension, or Ban and Forum Code of Conduct.
