As the title says ,i play a lot of battlegrounds and in there there are 2 different type of games. The normal and the epic.
Even though i have the raid settings on for lowering the details , i find it that there should be a third option on raid if the players are more than 30 so i can have 2 set of settings
The thing is, turning down gpu settings will not help with the immense CPU-bottleneck in 40man bgs 
Do you think its is more of a CPU than a GPU problem on the 40 raids?
The more players/NPCs, the higher the CPU-bottleneck will be.
WoW is using a mostly singlethreaded engine, basically one main-thread that has to calculate all the “numbers” and on top of that, addons are on the same thread.
This is also the reason why some addons have such a huge performance impact, mostly in raids or groups.
Weakauras can kill your FPS too.
Nameplates with auras/buffs are hard on the CPU too.
