Viking-like classes? Paladins might just be more viking-like than Warriors?

But sadly orcs don’t fit the Viking trope because they are aliens from draenor with shamanistic belief only Viking thing they have are the orcish tribes.

Maybe kultiran warriors ?
Minus the belly

Good points. Paladins can also summon Val’kyr (Forgotten Queen). The Val’kyr are obviously based on the Valkyrie (also described as women) who summon souls of the dead to Valhalla.
Still, I’d say Warriors are more Viking-like.

Talk to Odyn. He will make you see the Light

Well Warriors is the more Viking class.

But then again, The worship of the Light for the Humans was more of an accident as that battle with Galakrond happen long before humans existed in Warcraft. And the Humans was worshiping the same gods as the Vrykul before they worship the Light and the Tyr’s hand. Taught by their Vrykul parents, the ones that didn’t want to kill their children as their King ordered them to do. But…I don’t know, maybe the paladin class in wow is “kind of” a Viking class. Altough in Warcraft 2 the Paladins did have helmets with horns…perhaps its was their way to honor the old ways which later was changed in Warcraft 3 as they had probably moved further into their more Christianity worship or The Light as its called in Warcraft.

Well yes but it eventually became of a more Christianity worship rather than what the Vrykul worship than Humans was Worshiping. Which is what happend in Sweden, Norway, Denmark as more Vikings started to worship Christianity and left the old Norse gods worship.

True, Warriors (or Fighters) is more of a combined class with different discipline of combat.

True on both points however the Humans of Azeroth was from the beginning Barbarians just like the Vrykul and worship the same gods. The Humans from Stromgarde were the last Humans that worshiped the Vrykul gods as it was the first settlement of the Humans. Most have been wiped out by the horde but some Stromgarde humans still remains, like Danath Trollbane. Also The Vrykuls used long boats long before they ever started riding proto-drakes. And as a dev said that the Drust and the Tideskorn were not the only Vrykuls that left Northrend 1000 years ago in search of their of gods.

Also The Kultirans could have been Blizzards answer of Alliance Barbarians as they are big humans and yes some are Stormwind human size and they love boats and so does Vrykul. What Blizzard could have done is that most of the Kultirans are as we see them when we go to Kultiras. But Blizzard could have added in Drustvar a group of the Big Large humans were studying the old ways like the Drust as Barbarians. That worship the Vrykul gods, Used Drust Magic and Ulfar as their Leader. Letting the Kultirans have Vrykul tattos, Armor, Weapons etc and have long boats etc. As I have suggested In other threads if Vrykul would never become playable the Kultiran “could” be the answer. And also letting the Kultirans have the option to be more fit and have six pack as they are a copy of the Diablo 3 Barbarian. Letting them have Rexxars body as he is modeled after Kultiran and if they can’t find a body for the Female Kultiran, they could use Orc female and just make them taller and larger.

Also remember, play the Character as you want the Character to be. a Knight in shiny armor, a Barbarian etc etc or whatever.
