Violet Hold LEVELING DUNGEON is harder than mythic, WTF is going on?

Something is seriously wrong with the scaling. I was just in there with a group and we were getting two-shot by entire packs of trash mobs. It was nuts, no amount of skill could have won that fight. What’s going on with the scaling? Is this a bug?

probably badly geared people. Leveling dungeons often do require some healing/tanking compared to the last few years. but the last while the only time i ever had a wipe was when people ignored the adds and aoes of a boss our of sheer laziness. Well almost a wipe since i left the group before i died as the healer, cba to deal with groups that make the healers job hell out of laziness.

I had no problem with violet hold either, even when i engaged those groups alone. your healer probably just wasnt healing, or your tank wasnt tanking

I would report it. As so often when Blizz tinkers with scaling … synking in this case - there always seem to happen some imbalance in some dungeons. Was it caster mobs?

Anybody remember when they changed the Brackets and scaling of dungeons pre Legion? Or the world when they scaled it?.. Or when they revamped dungeons in Cata… Oneshotting Caster mobs! They never got to fix the cata dungeons after that really :stuck_out_tongue: And still the Spellflingers in Azjol’Nerub twoshots if allowed to cast :stuck_out_tongue:

I just tanked another Legion dungeon with no issue. You think this dungeon is intentionally supposed to be ten times harder than the others?

As a tank you have a clear idea of how hard the mobs are hitting, regardless of healer. This dungeon was harder than any mythic 0 at 120.

Was anobody in your team party-synked?

Again - Usually when some sort of new scaling comes in to play in dungeons, some of them gets issues :stuck_out_tongue:

mythic0 and heroics are easier than any normal dungeon though

You mean if any other two players in the group were synced it could break the dungeon for the rest of us?

didnt think of it, but its possible thats the case. Bugs do tend to happen after something has been released. and im not sure how the party sync scaling is done. But i thought it only scales people down to the rest of the group instead of scaling the dungeon up or down.

The only problem I’ve had with VH is people leaving because it’s incredibly boring
