Visable key completion rate : a fair leaver penalty

Having keystone completion rates visable to others on group finder applications could prove very useful to the community. So if someone that applies has low completion rate ; i can see it, be informed, and decide if i want that person in my key or not.

That would also encourage people to finish keys to keep the completion rate in good standing.

To counter the problem of wanting to leave but not wanting to damage the completion rate ; we can have a system where you can prompt a “concede check” to the party (just like a ready check). If atleast 3 agree to give up, everyone can leave without completion rate penalty.

What do you think ?

I wouldn’t be opposed to it, as I only play with pre-mades so we always finish our keys even if its a big depleto, cause loot is loot. We’re all here for loot regardless of how bad it goes.

Cba dealing with people who are just in it for a free ride and want out the minute things go awkward.

I think it’s a worthless stat. It’s not my fault if someone left and the key couldn’t be completed. I don’t see why I should be penalised for it.

However when I queue up to do a weekly key someone can see my ilvl, my score, and if they use rio they can see my highest run in the dungeon I’m applying to, and how many keys I’ve completed in my highest bracket.

So for me this season

At present I suffer no ill effects when someone leaves my key or someone else’s key. However under your system I would be penalised and suffer a leaver/unfinished key stat. There are also the keys we try when pushing that simply can’t be completed because we don’t have enough gear or have hit a skill wall. Again I do not wish to be penalised for those runs.

This sounds like a great idea!
I would also want to introduce a penalty for doing an unoptimal route.
Or a penalty for pulling too many trash.
A penalty for pulling too little trash.
A penalty for not intrerupting.
A penalty for intrerupting too much.
A penalty for not loving Sylvanas.
A penalty for paying for the game.
A penalty for doing M+ with a bad transmog.
A penalty for not having enchants.
A penalty for doing the key in a time period shorter than the average for that key.
A penalty for logging into WoW.
A penalty for waiting too much in the queue.
Actually, I want a penalty for EVERYTHING!

Did you not read the last paragraph ?

Given how many people in various games surrender just because you had a bad fight and could still recover, I find it laughable to even suggest. Lost first fight in a BG? GG let them win, go next. In M+ it could be “lol what is this route? gg go next” and 3 people vote to quit, making no difference in effect.

Also, premades could just end a key at any point.

Anyone can already end the key. Even on their own. People dont tend to 4-man rest of keys often. And if they do its usually done in massive frusteration.

How does that counter that someone already left and the key is incomplete. Or you going to hold a vote after someone leaves to not carry on? Seems a bit of a farce, it goes without saying that if someone leaves you can’t carry on, unless it’s a low key.

Even if you are a full five man and you can’t get the 3/5 votes what then, you have two players who don’t want to carry on. I can’t imagine they are going to be too enthusiastic.

Of all the systems I’ve seen suggested, penalising the whole group is the harshest. People will fake d/c or just afk until the timer passes. You won’t force participation, just make it more frustrating for all.

Just seems to do more harm than good IMO.

As usual response for this - not gonna solve the problem. Two scenarios from the top of my head:

  1. I want to leave the key. I initiate the vote. No 3 votes. Ok. Next pull I “accidentally” pull additional pack. We wipe. Now I initiate vote again. No 3 votes again. No problem, I can continue with “accidental” pulls, low dps and not pressing kicks until there will be a 3 yes votes or somebody else leave, taking the penalty for me. Worth case I will go afk or running in circles.
  2. I want to end the key no matter what, even if it means 4 hours of progression. No problem, I bring my two friends and now it will never be 3 yes votes. Want to leave? Enjoy the punishment, no concede for you!

that doesnot solve anything .

There is no formal / kind way of addressing the issue.

Like in times of old, back in the day:ifyou ninja’d loot. the server knew who did it practically. Theres too much in place to protect people who are a public menace / acitvely doing things like leaving keys.

Either blizzard need to give us a second chance means of keeping the key at its current level, or we need a way to indefinitely filter out people who are just a public menace / basically getting a free ride and don’t actually pull their weight post to being carried.

My ignore list is nearing capped after clearing it out twice from prior expansions, so I’m all ears really.
