Visions....... Wrathion... It's all a lie!

Wrathion is “taken” during the Legendary Quest only to appear moments later in the other room… where we “free him” and he helps us create the legendary cloak from the black dragon… the same black dragons which bore the Old God corruption… yet creating a cape from his would “Protect us”…

Wrathion is the one to stab N’zoth with the dagger… But it does nothing???

Let me tell you that it’s all a LIE!

N’zoth was figuratively a shadow of his former self, no True physical form upon his release…

Azshara knew that the Dagger could contain N’zoth and his powers which if the Dagger whispered could be resisted… the power of the entity was granted to the wield… Azsara was able to resist the whispers of N’zoth and planned to use the Dagger to imprison N’zoth…

N’zoth tested the worlds champions and set them on a path to defeat Azshara but he could not let the dagger fall into the wrong hands as he needed the dagger to be “used” against him but under his circumstances…

N’zoth knew that the champions would not stop until he was defeated and as such began to attack Azeroth and it’s inhabitants by the mind… where he could show them there worst fears… but also there greatest desire…

He knew Wrathion alike all the black dragons where high susceptible to his whispers just like Deathwing and began to convince him to find the dagger… which was in the one place nobody could go. Ny’alotha. and So Wrathion crafted an item that he and his champion go enter Ny’alotha with… to resist the darkness within it… to travel, retrieve the dagger and use to defeat N’zoth…

We enter N’zoth vision… .Ny’alotha and battle our way to find Azshara and retrieve the dagger and Wrathion uses this to stab N’zoth… but we knew it didn’t work!!! and the Dagger disappeared… however we easily went on to defeat N’zoth without it using the Heart of Azeroth…

But what if… When Wrathion was “taken” and re-appeared within the next. It wasn’t Wrathion… or atleast the Wrathion we knew…

What if N’zoth instructed Wrathion to use the dagger on him… and the Dagger “imprisoned” N’zoth within the Dagger… a Dagger that Wrathion still held but now as the master of the vision… N’zoth Avatar… hid it from us and went on to show us the end of the vision… of us defeating N’zoth once and all…

but in reality…

The Old God. master of the mind… played the biggest trick he could of Azeroth… That he was dead… When the reality is… not the vision… not the dream. the reality is. N’zoth is within the dagger whom is wielded by his puppet… the new DEATHWING!

Well… so what?

No, really, I totally agree that looking at the game world, there is every possibility we have been duped the whole time, maybe even in the way you describe. But what’s the point? Why fake his own death, what does he gain by that that he doesn’t already have?

And even more, from a narrative perspective it isn’t much of a twist, either. No matter how he did it… if he comes back in a few years most people just won’t care about the details of a quest chain from back then anymore, and it will just come down to “N’zoth is back, Wrathion is evil now.” If you want that to have an impact, you have to pay it off while people still care. But why would we, if we are already fixated on Shadowlands now?

Maby becuse of the jailer, you se Sylvanas plan was always to open a way to the shadowlands, and what if they jailor is extreamly dangerous towards N´zoth, becuse the jailer is already a creature of shadow, and N´zoths only hope is that we defeate him.

this way we think N´zoth is dead and he can hide, whit in the dagger for as long as he wants to, whitout him having any danger of beeing found, this also meens is if someone is stopid enough to take the dagger to the shadowlands, N´zoth is literaly moved away from azeroth to an other plane, where if he is to be set free can do way more damage than he could on Azeroth, what he most likely already knew that fighting there would eventualy end in his defeate anyways.

think about it, an old god set free in the shadowlands, full off fallen heros and villain, a perfect preeding ground for a full fledge attack back to Azeroth whit old dead people like, Varian, Garrosh, Arthas, etc…
it would be devestating.

And for that… he aquired the dagger… gave it to Sylvanas… took it back with Azshara… let Azshara give it to the heroes… and let it vanish after it opened the visionary carapace. And that plan was… to make us NOT be suspicious, if someone brings it into the Shadowlands?

Yeah… no. Not buying that.

think his plans didnt realy go as planed, there, you se he gave the dagger to sylvanas so she would use it on him at the end, or someone else, but Sylvanas made a deal whit Azhara, that I do not think N´zoth even knew about, he aint all seeing as he makes us belive, I think his idea was that Nathanos would use the dagger and not Azhara at all, Azhara was not supposed to loose as she did eighter.

if Nathanos would have used the dagger on N´zoth, he would have given it most likely back to sylvanas whom would have taken it whit her to shadowlands, and there we go N´zoth just entered the shadowlands.
I also think he knows that if he then would start to talk to sylvanas she would listen becuse she is powerhungry and the temptation would be immense.

You don’t hunt somebody that you think is dead…

N’zoth needed to be free and so allowed him to be contained with a dagger where he can possess whom ever he wants

a dagger wielder than can enter the shdaow lands…

could N’Zoth’s plan all along have been the release of Xal’atath from the dagger?

We know little about the entity within the blade only that its as old as he black empire itself. Could N’Zoth know what it really is and have unleashed it on azeroth with his death/attempt to bring the black empire back being a ‘i don’t really care as i’ve done what i needed to’?

You got to understand, He couldn’t let Azshara stab him because he didn’t have control over Azshara or else Azhsara would never of attempted to kill him in the first place.

He used Deathwing, brute force to try and defeat Azeroth heroes, but failed.

He used Xavius to corrupt the dream but it didn’t work,

a last, his only “alliance” was with Azshara whom wasn’t loyal or under his control, and as such manipulated the situation for us to find Azshara and defeat her before she was able to release him and imprison him within the Dagger.

He was free and able to escape but took Azshara with him, allowing it to unfold for somebody else to use the Dagger on him, somebody more suseptible to corruption. Which was Wrathion.

Wrathion became the “avatar” of N’zoth, and as Ny’alotha was just a vision. he showed us exactly what he was meant too. Us defeating N’zoth without the dagger.

You too much overthinking. Expansion is over -like other old gods Nzoth is defeated.
