We need more awesome looking druid forms. Whilst the basic ones are good you get really bored with them fast. The legion ones are really good but that was a long time ago and it still comes with the downside of not getting to choose your weapon. besides that, we should have other options for balance spec people don’t like to be a Moonkin literally never see anyone use it and the glyph is a pretty lackluster option. I also do not think druids should get forms that exist in-game already their forms should as they are now reflect in some way that they are human. for example the braids and fur patches with Elune symbols.
I would like to see some cool class quest for druids to acquire new visuals or some system like there was in legion where you had to do something and got a reward. With ardenweld its a perfect opportunity for something like this.
Its time for new druid forms and waiting another expansion is just too long away.
Ps: Worgen and trolls dont have their own travelforms
They do need more forms, you should in my opinion like a hunter tames be able to “commune” with wolfs bears various sea animals and birds, to gain new forms.
Ultimately I like the idea of the druid class but I can’t play mine as I like seeing my gear that’s ofcourse my own problem :).
For instence why can’t you be oscar from stormsong (bear with arrows in it) a worg a lion etc maybe even include a furblog for owl form you should also be able to change fur speratley from your hair colour
With all these new race customizations, I’m hoping they add some more Druid customization options in Shadowlands. We absolutely need new forms for Druids…
I have been thinking the same for a number of years now and it is one of the reasons I stopped playing all together.
The idea of being able to go out in to the wild similar to the hunter (as mentioned before) is an intriguing idea. To become something different that you as a player chooses to define ones own character. I would think this would appease all players because if you still think druid should only be cat and bear, you can be a cat and bear. All the abilities can remain the same in terms of play style and damage etc.
I would very much like to be a tree tank instead of bear, I think this would look and feel really good to play. It would be like the protectors in the woods from old.
A centaur is also a form I have wanted for as long as I can remember. A form like this could easily fit in to all specs and it to make a lot of sense lore wise. Half humanoid half wildlife, that gives us both the form and the ability to wear and see our armour in combat.
I also think we need some more visual nature spells over moon and star to fit in with more lore like Malfurion, (why space spells for a druid will never make sense to me, this is more of Tyrande territory).
Again perhaps like a glyph where the base gameplay can remain but the visuals and players immersion are different for those that want it to be. Perhaps I will leave more thoughts and details of that in a new topic perhaps.
Yeh I’m getting visual burnout. It really annoys me how the zanda druid don’t get recolours for moonkin, flight and travel but Kul tiran do. In fact all druid races should have colour options for all forms. There’s lots of moonkin ones already in game, it’s just pure lazy.
Also astral form, why does it have to change your colour? Would be much cooler if it was like a glowing aura, like your surrounded by power, without changing the colour of your gear
Each tier at the least should come with an array of appearances for the difficulties and forms to unlock even if it was shared between each of the races. Dropping extra cosmetics from bosses like items that you learn to attach to your form would easily bring me to druid.
Also a selection panel on your character panel just for druids to select their forms. Alot of the code could be reused from the collections tab.
