Voicing concern over DH in Shadowlands

You’re not going to play at a high level without binds regardless of class. DH might be fine with 6 buttons in normals but you won’t Mythic Raid or get Gladiator like that.

And that’s what balance should be centered around, the endgame.

well here i disagree, end game balance and e-sports is important but the big chunk of players are casuals so these two things need to co exist. Usually it needs to be easy to learn hard to master, or give active talents an edge, like passive is fine for 95% cases but the active one gives you a tiny bit of advantage, anyway it’s not my job to figure that out but to a multimillionaire company.

As before i was just saying what concerns me.

Also i dont think more buttons is any indication of skill whatsoever, if i’m not mistaken gw2 has a lot less buttons and is quite praised for good pvp ? Moba pvp based games “battlerite” had nice pvp with 4,5 buttons, dota itself, its not about skills per se but synergy and team play, so i think it can be achieved without giving 20 buttons to each and every class. Or you can tell me an example of a good pvp game with loads of buttons, where deep pvp is achieved by pressing many buttons. I went to check blade and soul i think it had good pvp (never played it tho) and the people have 10 buttons on their screens it seems, bdo also is combo based but the buttons arent more then 10 i think its more like 5-7 pressed in different order.

As for pve it was about encounter mechanics more then about the skills, pve rotation can be streamlined and dumbed down with addons so anything monk druid enh shaman, anything can be just press the big button on the screen, which i said its not very fun, in pvp you react and counter play, in pve you just press what addons tells you. But the skill was shown usually in doing boss mechanics.
Otherwise there are 2 button tanks (cough druids) who should be literally banned from any mythic raid.

Agreed!!!

No… because you can’t balance the game around people who can’t play it properly. If you do that you make the higher tiers of the game horribly imbalanced.

of course there is no thought process to go into playing it for a casual
dh skill cap is extremely high (specially pvp) when you see what you can do with that class and its potential but that requires an above average iq and a lot of experience in this game

Let’s all agree all DH actually need is for Leech to be gone from the speck. Everything else is fine.

That feels like its coming from a PvP perspective.

Meta without leech would need to be stronger then , like on top of haste buff extra 10% chaos dmg or something like that. Demon hunters are not OP in pvp like many people say, the real reason is corruptions+essences that is what makes class OP currently as DH with full versa/gushing is too insane but without it DH is balanced! And its not only DH any melee class with versa stacking/gushing is broken atm, same goes for mages etc. Coruptions+ essences are the real problem atm.

I think the Blizz said, when creating 8.3 content (corruptions, essences, etc) “Let Them Run Wild”. The builds are crazy right now. I spend 20+ minutes in meta in a dungeon.
