Can someone Please help me to define what’s a void arcanist ? what’s the difference between them and normal arcanists ?
We don’t get any lore to them but I think that they’re a combination of Mage and Shadow Priest.
Most likely simply someone who wields both void and arcane
And perhaps sometimes combines them, like having Shadowfrost spells…
Nothing special, don’t get yourself confused

So, a Shadow Mage is someone who still uses arcane spells, but does so with the magic of the Shadows.
So instead of an arc attack, you just get a shadow attack, the only thing that changed is the magic used behind it.
This explanation (also be Zahir) was given to me a couple of months ago.
(I posted this in another thread, was not paying attention xD).
a void elf mage who is an arcanist.
Access means is also different
A priest is empowered by faith, which he uses to access the light within or shadows. In addition they can pray to their deity who answers them and does the prayer they ask, working more similar to a shaman.
A mage is the one that is engineering what he casts, he is designing and making the frost bolt happen through u understanding of the basic building blocks of matter and his talent in wielding this power.
A void africanist does not access the power via a prayer to shadow beings or the inner shadow, but understands the magic of the void like he understands the arcane, and combines that to wield it to do what he wills rather than relying on an entity to grant his prayer or empower him. He doesn’t need faith like a priest does though he is absolutely confident he yields the results he engi engineered
then what defers them from a from a void warlock ?
Shadow + fel = void warlock. I think Affliction warlocks mostly use shadow magic.
Shadow + arcane = void arcanist
Cool. Where did you learn all this? = p
