Void Elf eye color?

I’ve been thinking about this from the beggining…

Wouldn’t it have made more sense for the Void Elves to have gotten glowly Void-purple eyes? You know, just like Blood Elves got Fel-green and High Elves Arcane-blue.

And I’m not against Void Elf blue eyes, but I think they should have added 3 purple-eyed faces to Void Elves at the same time that they added 3 golden-eyed faces to Blood Elves.

I’m inclined to believe that the demand for High Elves is the reason behind Void Elves blue eyes instead of purple, however, I think the purple-eyed faces request still stands as valid and would make the most sense.

Thoughts? :purple_heart::speech_balloon:

Edit: the eye colors don’t necessarily have to glow, they can just add new color.

I’ve never paid much attention to eye colour in WoW tbh.

Not sure why it makes much difference being blue or purple, velfs have the glowy tentacle hair so do they really need glowy eyes too? Would it not be overkill?

It’s because to me it seems it would make sense if their eyes glowed with the actual Void color, just like Blood Elf eyes glow of Fel (green) and Light (golden).
The blue feels too much like pleasing the High Elf crowd, but I think that is okay, it’s just they could have given purple to Void Elves when they gave golden to Blood Elves.

I have to say I am not very keen on the eye glow on my night elf i am mostly cat so i get to ignore it.
I don’t think I would like eye glow on my Void Elf but other eye colour like dark purple maybe ?

That leads me to another thought: option to have non-glowly eyes, NPCs have it.

I’ve wondered too why the void elf eyes are blue and not purple.

Probably to give off some high elf-ish vibe?

When in doubt about elf customization, add more glows and lights.

It’s probably blue to not be confused with nightbournes.

So if velfs get glowy eyes belfs have to get sparkly skin to make it even and fair??? :speak_no_evil:

Those are lilac. Plz no confuse.

Thing is Nightborne eyes are more like lilac, a very light color.
I imagine the Void Elf eyes would be a dark Void-like purple.

Why? Void Elves are infused with void magic, not magic from the Sunwell.

It’s not the same blue eye color the High Elves have though…

The Void Elf eye color is paler and not as “vibrant” as the blue of the High Elves.
Of what we can see in-game anyway.

But purple would be cool, wouldn’t mind it.

Who said they have anything to do with the Sunwell?
Nobody ever said that.

Yes, it isn’t the same, what I mean is that it is still blue most likely because of High Elves, yet they made it look all dead-looking and different to fit the Void Elves.

I don’t think any other race has players so dedicated to discussions about what eye colours they have. Just elves :yum:

We could as well discuss why Forsaken have yellow eyes

Probably because it’s very visible and even lore-reasons behind their eye colors…

For the rest you sometimes gotta look really closely to even see what eyecolor it is.

I’ll bet a bunch of human players couldn’t name the color the eyes their characters have without checking if you asked them.

Brown! I didn’t check my only human but I’m gonna guess brown because it’s the most common colour and I have blue eyes irl but always wanted green eyes and hate having to have brown eyes on game characters and feel I had that issue on my first character in WoW which was a human.

All of them looks like a couple of blueberrys to me
