The only difference between those two classes is that one reads book whereas the other goes to the gym

Literally no.
A priest channels the light when they are using light spells
A paladin IS the vessel of light they are filled with it.

A void Elf paladin does not work in wow lore EVEN the Naruu does not do both at the same time.

Well we have holy void elf priest and undead holy priests going all the way back to classic.

I hate the tauren rogues and mages, they have severe advantage in pvp cause I lose vision while I roll my eyes for second when i see them

It is not a paladin.
Because that literally goes against the NEW lore that retconned the last 15years

This is not true.
We have 1 CURSED night elf family with 1 priest that is in training to become potentially a paladin but she is NOT a paladin yet.
The other Night elf is her DEAD warrior uncle and is a Ghost in lore.

Lore wise all Void Elf Priests would be in talent tree Shadow specced because they can not deal with the light.
It is ONLY game play reasons why it is not the case.

Undead that has pain when using light spells is special cases that is rare why is this so hard to understand?

If Void elves can become Paladins then the Lore building they are doing in Dragonflight and TWW and what they have told of the next expansions is gone and worthless

Nope, doesn’t need to wield the Void. The NPCs in there (including the Priest) talk about wielding Light. While more customisation options would be great, the current (yellow) animations are fine and consistent with the NPC dialogue.

Not sure your theory holds up any more. Voidlight Everdawn is a priest in Telogrus Rift who comments “the Light alone will not protect us” and implores us to “have faith and open [our] heart[s] to all powers”. (Emphasis mine: the world ‘alone’ is important.) It’s a pretty clear nod to discipline priest, not shadow…

It’s been over nine months with Aeonara Dawnshade and Voidlight Everdawn in game; I’m still stunned some are clinging on to the old ‘Void and Light shall never meet’ thing.

A quest chain in an area you never have to care what someone say.
and you wonder why people have not seen this person.
The items that is worn is generic items

Oh and according to WoWhead the sounds attached to this npc does not say any of that so i wonder are you sure you got the right name?
Infact none of the npc mentioned here from that area has any voice line attached to saying something like that at all

Do you know what the void elf windrunner sister is?
People are clinging to it because it is the LORE OF THE GAME!
It is literally part of the lore of the story of the expansion we are in right now.
break this and you are also breaking lore for why The War within exist at all.

According to you. I’m tremendously impressed with your ability to maintain cognitive dissonance and apparently ignore something which does not fit with your world view. I didn’t put these NPCs in the game; direct your angst at Blizzard. Or wait for Midnight to come to learn more.

I simply do not believe you are right based on every other aspect of the game that say you are wrong.
it is more likely for you to be wrong then the game.
However if you are right then this just sements how HORRIBLE bad blizzard writing has become and how lore is WORTHLESS in this game when they can not even keep it consistent for 3 years

I am with you, but unfortunately it’s a losing battle. Voicemongers and Blizzard are not caring about the lore, if they think something would look “cool” in their own perceiption, they will do it, even if it doesn’t make sense and hurts the game.

Of course, if Blizzard wised up and actually “diversified” certain class specifics based on race, this wouldn’t be an issue. Push a little lore-motivation into things. Like how we have Dinomancers and Prelates instead of Zandalari “Druids” and “Paladins” as well.

Man this really fortifies my belief that this game is in dire need of class skins. Would have taken that over hero talents any time…

So many things can be explained in the lore (ie Tauren Paladins like OP pointed out) but just looks clunky as hell practically.

I want my Tauren Sun Walker.
