Minor Gripe with Void Elf Racial Spatial Rift. IMO this ability is pretty useless from a PVE stand point, if it was insta cast like mages I would probably like it but as it stands currently I just don’t use it and probably won’t even in PVP if I ever do get into it.
IMO I think It would suit better if the racial functioned more like Death Knight Class portal were the player can tear a hole in space time and conjure a void portal instead that takes VELF players into Telogrus Rift. Visually the portal would look like the Rift in Stormwind and only the player who made it can use it.
I think it just makes better sense personally to have it like this that allows VELF players to return to their new central hub for selling/repair and buying food and other good stuff. What do you guys think?
The travel time is too slow. But if it were quicker, it’d be quite OP.
I personally think you should be able to cast it at a location and the rift travels there, so it can be used more dynamically. The visual is obvious so the enemy player can see it, but it causes a guessing game of whether you’re going to use the portal or not.
A small increase on the duration of the rift when at range would be cool too. It feels very short as if you only have a second or two when it’s at max range to use it, which means it’s ridiculously easy to counterplay because generally speaking you will always use the port.
I actually agree, I rarely use this spell, yet it seems so interesting. Instant teleport would be much better as some kind of movement ability like Worgen’s run speed increase.
Edit: Another rework could be like: Place a Void rift to a target location and the second spell use, you teleport there.
It’s fine. And since /stuck isn’t a thing these days, it has actually gotten me out of quite a few messed up locations. Hardly my favourite spell in the game, but it gets to stay on the bars at least, which is more than I can say for several other races’.
As for returning to Telogrus Rift, that’s a nice idea, but I’ve never set my hearthstone anywhere else in the first place.
I actually disagree with all of you. I think Spacial Rift is a fantastic spell and when utilized correctly, quickly becomes one of the strongest PvP racials in the game. I specifically picked warlock to play as void elf and let me tell you, when you combine the racial with your gate and your portal, you are more mobile than a mage. It is actually quite disgusting.
The reason why I think having a portal to Telogrus Rift would be a better choice instead IMO. I just don’t see them adding a teleport like this as it would make it too OP when parred with certain classes or existing ones redundant.
