bootlickers get out
I am still pretty certain of two things;
Ghostlands wasnât mean to have the night elves actively involved as combattants (also, still ridiculous how they worked well together with Kaelâthas, then turn around and try to kill his people off?), and that Blizzard tried to tell something else that what is actually shown.
Dalaran canât be blamed on the Alliance. At the time of the Purge it was still a independant nation, the Silver Covenant, while Alliance loyal, was a Dalaran-organisation and the soldiers summoned in by Jaina just did what they were ordered.
Imagine being one of those human footmen, chilling in your barracks, suddenly you get summoned in, told by THE Lady Jaina Proudmoore (known ally of the Alliance), that the blood elves have to be removed from Dalaran (also, youâre at war with the blood elves anyway), so you just do it, because well a known Alliance leader and one of the most famous human wizards told you blood elves are a risk to Dalaran. Why would you not trust her?
I remember this quest, wasnât he following a magic trail when he stumbled upon that night elven camp?
In starting zone one npc had line that goes something like âfor those that are curious We can show the pathâ, donât remember exacly. There are also some high elves standingu around.
Just guessing blizz going to replace blues eyed, blonde helf models with void ones.
That would be good exuse for them.
Which is vague and can just mean they can show them the path to control void magic, not become a void elf.
If you position the Draenei starter zone taking place before Eversong and the Ghostlands it makes a lot of sense. Night Elves encounter the Draenei, Matis the Cruelâs antics are shown. Huh, what are the blood elves up to? They go over to the eastern kingdoms to investigate but get way too hands on.

I bet if the Horde landed troops in Westfall, Stormwind would have an issue with it.
[/quote] Surely they would. But again, striking at targets of strategic importance isnt exacly random murder of civilian, but a military action with a clear aim.
If you consider Quel Thalas an enemy, or at least something close to that, sabotaging to frontline against a third party isnt exacly the dumbest move, isnt it? Surely not moral, sure. But effective.
Thats why i said for the majority it was aimed at arresting people. I am aware there was also killing involved. But killing wasnt the prime goal of cracking down on the sunreavers.
If your clear aim is disrupting food supplies so civilians starve, thatâs not random murder, itâs pretty intended.
Oh, that does make sense.
But I assume thereâs no clear answer to what zone happened first, I presume?
Surely. But the question was, whether or not the alliance cares about the blood elves. Taking into account that they had secret reunification talkes, id say yes, they do care.
That doesnt really interfere with targeting civilian populations to get your enemy to capitulate or join the neagotiation table.
I think thereâs a difference between sabotaging an enemy fighting against something that very much plans to seek their extermination. There is some indirect responsibility there to be honest, if Tranquillien fell and the Scourge rampaged through a civilian area thanks to night elf intervention. Blood would have been on their hands.
It wasnât but the involvement of the Silver Cov + the crackdown on anyone who had wrongthink in regards to it directed it that way. Jaina went on to really regret it and how it was all handled.
There isnât but itâs my headcanon at least for the timeline of TBC:
Draenei starter-> Belf Starter ->Outland.
They will become new crusaders on Alliance, baptising every elf child in void energies.
âThe Void Burn You!â
During a full blown war with the Horde, the Alliance entered into talks to see if they could convince a major power in their opponent to turn against them.
Three years prior, a different faction of the Alliance tried to kill a bunch of Blood Elves by blowing up a vital source of mana that their populace at large depended on to not die.
Both of these things are true.
Not enough to actually make amends though.
Blood elves are enemy. So no You donât care about enemy.
You donât see Horde worrying about void elves either do You?
Sure. The alliance isnt a monulythic block. Different member states, or even different field commanders might react more harshly then others.
Cant argue against that. Sure, the main intent was to lock them up. But one has to be foolish to not expect some bodies when you send the silver covernent against their main political rival. I guess some âcollateral damageâ during the arrest might have been intentioned, or at least gleefully tolerated.
Its not as simple as that. If you wage a war of extinction, then yes, you dont care about the enemy. But below that line? You very well might. You can want to crush a nation into dust, without annihilating its population.
You can firebomb cities during WW2, yet still aim to replace the ruling government with a better one, who treats the civilian population better.
Depends
Even Garrosh was against using the Blight in Gilneas⌠and the whole ressurect the dead thing
But war is hell⌠.thats true
Iâm honestly surprised the Void Elves are even on Azeroth; we have Telogrus and the ability to open portals - and considering Telogrous is somewhere at the edge of the universe and strongly hinted the planet (or what left of it) Sargeras cleaved in half, killing its slumbering, void-corrupted world soul, so the distance is not a factor - the whole cosmos is the Renâdoreiâs oyster. When you have the ability to pop up anywhere and mask your presence (as Umbric did when they infiltrated Dazarâalorâs treasury) so no one expect/sense your arrivalâŚ?
And your numbers are a bit limited thoâ slowly growingâŚ
Why on earth you would ever want to go back to fight in a stupid war, against your kin to a world that rejected you and you donât have and never will have a home to go backâŚ?
Blame the Void-insanity I guessâŚ
Alleriaâs the only reason I can see.
But that have nothing with wow lore tho.
Donât remember single line where Alliance worry about blood elves. Bah, even high elves gives Us quests to wipe out blood elves baze in Tokkar Forest in Outland.
On the other hand blood elves happyli murder Alliance members arm to arm with orcs and undead. I remember npc talking about âcrushing pathetic Allianceâ when playing Horde toon.
The High Elves (later Blood Elves and ultimately Void Elves) have allied with the Alliance before. High Elves and Humans used to live next door to one another, and often mingled. In fact, most High Elves who didnât become addicted to Fel, Light or Arcane magic remained either neutral or Alliance-affiliated. This, of course, is a huge point of frustration for anyone whoâs been wanting High Elves in the Alliance for a decade or more.
Regardless, given this context, when the Void Elves were exiled by their Blood Elf brethren, it was no surprise that they would turn to the Alliance, because the two factions have this long-standing on/off relationship. During Mists of Pandaria, the Blood Elves as a whole considered leaving the Horde behind while under Garrosh, to officially rejoin the Alliance. Besides, there is a strong Precedent for offshoot factions of Alliance races joining, such as with Kaldorei (Night Elf) mages rejoining after a long time, Dark Iron dwarves and even Lightforged draenei.
Well its kinda implied between the lines, isnt it? We never had the intent to outright exterminate the blood elves. Otherwise, we wouldnt work together all the like, like in Nazjatar. The Alliance´s war-goal during the forth war was removing/ replacing the acting warchief and then have peace again. Not commit genocide.
