Sigh… Okay. Here goes nothing.
I want to report a possible bug (or at the very least raise a concern) regarding the drop rate of the Void-Scarred Lynx mount from the new satchels tied to the latest patch.
As of today, I’ve completed the daily quests on all 26 of my characters, totaling 87 satchels opened between yesterday and the day before. Not a single mount dropped. I understand RNG is part of the game, but this seems excessively punishing for what is ultimately a casual ground mount.
Based on early data on Wowhead, the drop rate appears to be hovering around 0.8%, which would mean (statistically) an average of one drop every ~125 bags. For a daily-capped activity with limited attempts per character (even less than Dauntless Imperial Lynx), this feels very out of line, especially compared to similar event mounts or past reward structures.
I also want to highlight that Dragonflight seemed to take a positive step away from these types of harsh RNG systems, leaning more into meaningful progression and currency-based rewards. So this feels like a confusing step backward, and possibly even an unintentional tuning issue.
Could someone please look into whether the Void Lynx’s drop rate is working as intended?
