is [Void Torrent] bugged? it says nowhere in the tool tip it applies devouring plague and yet it applies devouring plague in both PVE and PVP scenarios, just curious. Don’t mind that it does 
Damnation is still better imo.
Bah this was meant to be in the priest thread >-< and yeah damnation is easier to play around with cause this is world of instant casts do more damage than hard casted abilities, minus chaos bolt.
It’s just better because Priest is usually trained 24/7 and most mongo meeles do everything to stop him from casting Vampiric Touch. You literally stood there and PvE them down doing dps race with them. In BfA you had to fake these apes 2 times and also including Spell Reflect, AMS, dispels etc. You had your dots applied probably after 30 sec. Current SP is so strong because thanks to Unfurling Darkness and Damnation you get your dots rolling from the start.

Yes instant dots is absolutely insane compared to spriest in bfa where fighting teams with 3cs or disc you could littéraly do nothing.
Your goal was just to put only sw:pain and wait for void form to do dmg.
I think it’s a stupid design, caster should cast and shouldn’t deal insane dmg with instant (hello boomkin / ele sham).
But let’s be honest, when you play a spec casting 24/7 you can barely play because mêlée have everything to stop you so I guess it’s the only way to play caster atm.

But it doesn’t explain why you can use just void torrent and it manually applies devouring plague on its own if you have 0 dots applied prior to using it, you can check yourself if you have a shadow priest.
I believe Void torrent was changed. It had an iteration that applied all dots, but it was recently changed in beta - there was a blue post about it. I can’t quite remember in detail though
Primarily aiming at talking about live version, its doing this on live. Not sure what version thats going off but tool tip only states from what I understand that it refreshes dots only.
I’ll try tomorrow if it applies it.
Btw I noticed that every healer can dispell devouring plague when onnly priest can (disease).
It’s probably a bug because dk’s disease can’t be dispelled (except if now healers can also dispell it).
I know resto druids can’t, paladins can, priests can…uhhh don’t know about shaman or monk cause I don’t play those.
Shaman can only dispel Curse and Magic and Monk Poison and Magic as far as I know.
I tried it and it applies 2stack of devouring plagues.
The tooltip don’t say anything and there is no talent or azerite supposed to applied the dot automatically.
Bug I guess.
