Vote kick abuse in dungeon

Today i got 2 votekick from dungeon while leveling, one time was in stratholme, i got vote kick from a 4 premade on rivendare, maybe for the mount if it drop, so i got 30 minute ban.

Second time, one dps was on carroussel in darkmoon fair, never join the dungeon, so i tried to votekick him cause he didn’t wanna join, it failed and i got kicked while the boss was at 5%.

Any of you got votekicked abuse too ?

If you decided to play classic and level through dungeons please note that if you gonna need any gears you gon get kicked, if you gon open those chests in vanilla dungeons without rolling you gon get kicked, if you do something else that their weird codex forbids you gon get kicked  Some people are extremely obsessed with making their char bis while levelling (even tho they will change those gears in the next dungeon run) so do not bother and do quests

That today’s WoW in a nutshell.

And Blizzard wants you to enjoy kicks even more by replacing content with H+. Welcome.

Absolutely feel ur pain, but today there´s literally no point of asking blizzard for help… They really don´t care enough.

I was randomly kicked and I have no idea why. Nobody spoke, nobody replied to any whispers. I looked back through Details and I was in the top 1-2 DPS for every fight.

With the current, very toxic playerbase the deserter debuff should really be removed. Most of the time a votekick is just completely unfair.

Or possibly vote kick should abort the entire run.
Still a way to grief but that would cancel exploits.
Basically the benefit is that you can agree to avoid deserter collectively by agreeing that the run should be aborted because.

My solution:

  • Every N instances / BGs you successfully complete, you gain 1 charge that lets you try to vote someone out. There is a cap of 3 charges.

  • Abandoning a BG or dungeon or being kicked out does not automatically give you the Deserter debuff. You only receive the debuff if you leave or are kicked several times in a relatively short time frame.

  • The Deserter debuff initial duration is 30 minutes. If you receive it repeatedly in a short period of time, each consecutive debuff lasts longer for up to 24 hours.

Why it works (in my opinion):

  1. The charge system does not allow you to kick people left and right for bogus reasons, you need to be mindful
  2. The system is very forgiving towards people who get randomly kicked or just abandon every once in a while, but quickly becomes serious if you are a repeated offender / leaver / griefer / dead weight

Might be an idea, but I think it would be better that nobody gets a charge in a run where someone is kicked. And clicking “Yes” should also cost a charge, otherwise premade groups will still be happily kicking everyone all the time

When i asking once they explain to me.This is how rdf works you match with players who don’t know and the main purpose of this is to becoming friend with them and play more often.I don’t think this make sense.Too many people wants to becoming game masters. This is my opinion.

This is WoW in a nutshell, especially the community, I got kicked before the first boss in Hellfire Citadel, couldn’t figure out why, so I messaged one of them, they said “the Paladin wants the sword from the first boss”

Blizzard doesn´t care, especially when it comes to kick abusers, even in BGs aswell as in dungeons… It even says in their ToS and CoC, that abusing the kicking system isn´t allowed, yet they don´t punish people.

If they cared just a little, they would´ve done something, at day 1. But clearly they haven´t.

Its a shame, honestly !

I’m no mathematician, but I’m pretty sure it takes 3/5 people to make a kick work. 3/5 people is a lot more subscription income than 2/5 people. Subscription income much needed to develop 1-button rotation tech. Jokes on me though, and everyone else endlessly trying to catch the carrot of nostalgia.

I always pressing “No” because i know the system works and if the players is afk for too long the game will automatically drop him out of the party.

Being kicked in a leveling dungeon over gear that will be useless in a few levels is pretty wild actually. I’m guessing it’s new people who don’t have heirlooms yet.
