Vote Kick Needs To Be Removed

There I was on my Paladin alt. I never played Holy Paladin before and it seems fun. I join a group in a Strathholme dungeon. Tank over pulls, I was unable to keep them up. (Not to mention they’re 13 levels above me, somehow, it was a DK)

We wipe, the priest jokes about me being a noob for not being able to heal everyone.

We go through a few bosses, then right after the second boss, we pull trash packs. The tank pulls more than I can handle, and there I am spamming heals and martyr. Tank is near death, I pop blessing of protection. Mobs aggro me, I pop my defensive. I die to it unfortunately. Priest died too. And I get kicked, then get a whisper from the priest, calling me ‘noob’

I don’t get it? Why was I kicked? We were doing just fine?

I’ve also seen vote kick abused in other places, where players are kicked for being bad or being AFK, but that shouldn’t be for the player to decide. Why isn’t there an anti AFK system in random instances? It makes no sense.

Vote kick needs to be removed. I can’t really see any other use for it other than kicking AFK players.

If a DPS overpulls, well, that’s Blizzard’s fault. Same with how Hunter pets always magically pull large trash packs when they don’t dismiss their pets before jumping.

It’s bad game design to not take into account these flaws. There was a Warrior earlier who pulled before the tank all the time, and caused a wipe because I was unable to heal everyone. There has to be a system in place which stops DPS from doing that. Maybe make it so there’s less trash in the dungeon? or perhaps stop DPS from being able to troll by not allowing them to aggro? I don’t know. But it is absurd how a 15 year old game has these problems.

I thought Breath of the Wild was bad. WoW is another thing.

Vote kick needs to be expanded.
There are people in BGs with 90k hp and see no problem with that.

That was not a tank. Merely a glorified grouppuller.

Oh and Breath of the Wild was amazing. Loved the new approach.

Care to explain ?

Instead of become angry you should be glad that you didn’t have to be in that group anymore. Myself would probably leave before I got kicked.

And no, it’s not a bad feature otherwise players can act however they want without consequenses.

And for the priest I would probably whisper him something to annoy him before I ignored him

I had a situation happen to the tank in a TW a few days ago.
I don’t know what the history was, I joined just before the last boss (The nexus).
We started the fight, the tank didn’t really know the mechanics as he was standing still the whole time of the fight.
It didn’t really matter in the end, we were doing more than enough dps on the boss.
No here is the thing.
When the boss was at 5% I see a vote to kick pop-up for the tank.
I press no.
He gets kicked, so the other three said yes.
it was literally 2 seconds before the boss died.
This really confused me.
To begin with, kicking someone 2 seconds before the boss dies is just a D-move.
Secondly, wth Blizzard, why can you kick someone during the end boss fight. When the boss is seconds away from death???

Open Youtube and type " The power of letting go " and listen to a video from channel actualized org.
Also have you told them how much YOU CAN handle ?
But again just LET that shiit GO

Vote kick absolutely should be in the game. There is no way others should be forced to play with obnoxious, rude, nasty, lazy, toxic, afk, or leeching etc players that make the entire dungeon miserable experience or a complete chore for the other four people.

I don’t find most groups are kick happy, I have voted no on some dungeon kicks but I’ve also seen plenty of justified kicks too.

I dislike being kicked with no reason given. I have yet to know the reason why I have been kicked in the past. No one says anything and you can fight along to the best of your knowledge, suddenly being teleported out with great confusion.

I think the problem with this feature is, that the rest of the group votes Yes despite not having spoken up to fix the reason of the kick. Let’s start there. You will want to have the kick option, if people are rude or trolling.

ive had that few days ago on my low lvl hunter.
I had died(cause i disengaged wrong in gnomerang),told i was sorry was my bad and i released and was running back(since the group wast one to do anything but rush)
and then while i was running back i was suddenly kicked.
No reason given and no one else had said something in chat either at all entire dungeon

What?

But realy, things happens, appartently it looks like this group was used to stronger healers and as u said u played it cuz it looks fun we can assume u dont have much experience with healing and that spec.

Anyway, we need vote kick, because for every troll kick there is about milion justified kicks where people are troling afking and whatnot.

Vtk is really hard to deal with because of how it can be used, there are leeches who deserved to be Vote kicked but can bypass it and then theres the opposite spectrum where innocent by-standers are getting kicked for no reason cause “Lol we can” you cant

While I agree that sometimes ppl decide to kick you for no good reason and it is annoying.

In your case though you just kind of dont know how your spells really work and you caused a wipe which annoyed the rest of your group so they kicked you.
Bop makes the person lose aggro which can be detrimental if used on a tank. You and the priest got aggro because you made the tank lose it by bopping him.

With your logic, it shouldn’t be you who decide what a valid kick reason is either :x

Or the afk plebs in epic bgs.

One 200k hp rogue sitting afk underneath the ship in the IoC bg, not doing anything like capping it or that, nah. He is just afk.

report as afk and it didnt do anything. >Telling people to report him afk, still didnt get kicked.
Like 2 minutes before we won he went moving for the first time again and got free loot.

Retarded system.

Yea , lets force playerbase to play with low iq players , afkers , leechers etc and make the game even more RNG so everyone will pray that will not get matched with bots.

I think I’ll make some people upset by saying his but the past days I leveled two Alliance and one Horde-character from 45 to 90. What I have seen so far is how awful Horde-players are. Just imagine what I have witnessed: In almost every dungeon people either mobbed or kicked others out.

I think I had just two groups which were superb (each for one hour) during the whole time. There is a very contrast quality between Alliance and Horde-players, with Alliance by far superior when it comes to be patience, manners and cooperation. Of course, there are also bad eggs at the blue side but it was actually frightening to see in almost all dungeons either mobbing, harassment or stupid kicking going on.

And yes, I got kicked too one time for collecting a quest-item instead doing damage. On top of that I was harassed by whispers that RP-players do not belong in WoW and that I should catch the “cold”, to make it bit more harmless.

There’s an automatic AFK-Kick in PvP instances.
I think is related to timing. Nowadays, Battleground cannot last more than X amount of time; instead dungeons don’t have a timing system with the only exception M+ (although you don’t get kick out of the instance if you’re AFK or untimed key).

In my opinion it shouldn’t be removed. It’s an useful system, at the end of the day is voting, if you happen to be minority there’s nothing you can do.
Just like real life to an extent.

There’s a system, kick system.
Implementing a system which goes beyond kicking would limited players freedom.

Players should know how to behave inherently. Blizzard delivers tools and rules, players should know how to use them correctly.

I second you. Trolls should be kicked as quick as possible.

Just one small tip if you’re playing a Holy Paladin:

Never Blessing of Protection the tank.
