I actually had an issue with this last week.
I joined a group that was already in a boss fight. I tried to enter, got DC’d, and when I logged back in maybe 20 seconds later, I was kicked and given a deserter debuff.
Mildly annoying, to say the least.

Sometimes I wish we could vote kick people from the forums and they get a 30 day deserter buff. Imagine how much more intelligent the threads would be then.

I agree with what you said, but I don’t care anymore (like many other people)… it is the way that Blizzard wants. If you disagree, they are considering that you have the option to stop playing the game, instead of making changes to that annoying thing.
If you want to see it like a snowflake yes.

Point is, no one asked.
So you can find people that will be glad of a dungeon being faster, others that will be annoyed by people trasforming their run in a walking simulator.
If you got kicked is because you found more of the second.
Other way around:

Cause either way I would pull aggro.

This problem is as old as LFD because it trivialises the punishment for kicking people. That implies it is a 15 year old problem.
The problem cannot be solved other than to not use LFD.
Get used to it. It’s not going anywhere.

I think modern wow players became just a softie that can get offended just by everything.
Blizz need to implement system when people abuse vote kick they would get a 7-14 days ban.
The reason you get a Debuff from also being kicked, is because once you didn’t. So it resulted in Tanks and Healers joining groups, but getting a Dungeon they didn’t want to do. So they asked the group to just Kick them to avoid the Debuff, or they’d just stay around making it impossible to do the dungeon.
So now everyone gets punished.
Blizz can, implement AI tool and force people to write the elaborate reason why person is running the run for the others. They have replaced customer support and tech support with the AI, so why not implement it for /vote kick.

Simply pointed out that not everyone is going to be happy with such a behavior, i did not say you were right/wrong, i simply said that if you are going in with the
Attitude, you have to live with the fact that sometimes people wont appreciate your “carry”.
I remember while leveling an alt in War Within normal dungeons there was a Shaman dps who vote kicked people three times for no reason at all. I pressed no because there was no reason to kick them, I think that everyone should be allowed to do normal and heroic dungeons regardless of skill. One of the few times I press yes is when someone is afk or disconnects.
Anyway back to the point. In the dungeon with the gryphon taxis which I can’t remember the name of, the Shaman pulls everything before the last boss and needless to say we wiped. I asked ”shaman are you daft?”. A few seconds I get kicked and a whisper afterwards ”are you daft”.
This was an isolated case but rarely it does indeed happen that people abuse the vote to kick feature.
Happened to me today in ZF. Tank was pulling the odd pack that he “didnt need to”. One of our dps kept spamming pings contstantly.
He then kept trying to vote kick the tank reason given “useless”. I kept hitting no as he wasnt doing anything wrong.
Got to the trash after 2nd boss (in front of the giant altar) he decided to pull alot of mobs, pretty much all of them without realising they can poly him (the tank), which happened. The dps that kept spamming the vote kicks and pings died first. We then died one by one, and they all sat in their corpses instead of releasing.
I was last alive being a rogue, eventually died. Resed then i was removed from the group.
Throughout the entire run, nothing was said in /i chat, no one was griefing (outside of the pings and vote kicks), there were no premades (that i was aware of) and the only reason I can effectively put the vote kick on me down to was clicking no for the vote on the tank. Which, outside of the last pull with the poly mobs, he did nothing wrong.
Its a sad abuse of the system. I had plenty of other things I could have been doing solo so ultimately it didn’t particularly bother me, but I can completely see how this can brick someone for 30 mins if they dont have alot of time to play.
Not suggesting any fixes or wanting any sympathy or anything. Just wanted to share this.
One more thing to add, the trash would have melted pre TW changes so this might not have happened, tank also wasnt struggling to hold aggro as i went trickster outlaw, so perma tricks. I was top damage throughout too.
My warrior was kicked today. Only reason I can think of is I maybe took too much aggro from the Paladin tank. Wasn’t trying to stael aggro, just happened as I was playing as normal DPS. Nothing said in chat, just load screen and debuff. It felt bad because I just wanted to level this char and move on. Oh well.
Yesterday i wanted to do TIMEWALK , i died because tank cant hold aggro and heal cant heal - i got kicked.
Nah, keep your tokens game, i go farm 100 000 HKs “complete game” and then finnaly unsub. PvP is in worst state ever, and community is rotted with these KICKS, rushing and crying in RDF…Timewalks…everywhere.
I got almost kicked today for pointing out you need three Ziggurats in Stratholme to open the gate.
