I started playing WoW about 6 months ago and pretty soon I heard that Kazzak players tend to be difficult to deal with. I don’t buy into these sort of hearsay, but now I’ve got to question the idea. Each player is an individual and I don’t want to generalize, but it’s happened so often I’ve got to wonder where does it come from.
Just now we had 2 players from Kazzak who would kick the healer after their first death. I voted no, but apparently the healer was kicked anyway. Then they’d say one of them would play as a healer. Fast forward 10 minutes they decide to kick the tank, but I think the tank left by him/herself when he saw the capslock complaints on the chat channel. Now it was just me with these two Kazzak players, I told them to find a new team and left by myself.
I joined the next group, again a couple of Kazzak players in the team, fast forward to the first boss with zero deaths, everything going well, suddenly I’m votekicked, no reason given whatsoever.
And this is just from this evening. It’s been going on for a while now. Is it just me with my new characters and should I avoid dungeons until higher levels or is this as common as it appears to me?
I also have to question, is this votekick system really functional if a couple of friends can team up and votekick whoever they want? People get 30 min bans for being kicked, so it’s kind of annoying.
im the kind of person who says no, when and if i have been in grps with ‘‘friends’’ from guilds or what ever that say no dont do it. when some one suggests to do it. i just dont see any fun in it at all… even in when in hc raid pugs, if half of them are in guild and rest are outsiders, i vote against internall guild rolls, i want all who played to roll on something if they took part. and another thing i see when im in guilds, when puging raids its very ok and funny for guild members to fail and fk things up, but once a puger does it its out straight away, perhaps i have only been in guilds with rather trashy ppl
I play for fun, however I don’t tolerate boosting.
If someone is doing way below what they should be doing, especially in M+, then I will brick the key in most cases.
It’s cool to be nice to people, and helpful to new players, but there is a massive difference between a new guy trying to play and some player just auto walking, auto attacking and afk most of the time.
I’ve said this about PuGs, LFG and LFR before.
Respect goes both ways, just as people expect others be decent to them, they should be decent to others as well.
If someone knows he’s not good for +15 and still attempts a +15 without notifying others especially PuGs, then that person is just as toxic as the people that would eventually flame him for it.
If someone joins a dungeon and afks, or doesn’t bother pressing their buttons, then they deserve to be kicked.
I’m referring to the first dungeons you can enter as a level 10. I’ve never tried Mythic, I know nothing about those. Just from my perspective as a fairly new player, I find these sorts of behavior very unwelcoming, and based on the discussions I’ve had so far, many don’t seem to like them either…
ofc. if it looks like hes trying and struggle abit, i dont mind it, he might have some real issues going on with his life. i dont mind being kind to ppl who deserves kindness. but if ppl are just afk and auto attacking or what ever thats ofc different.
mind i boosted keys for many years, in a twisted way i dont mind playing with bad players up til a certain point, as long as i can carrey. so if the issue is just players being abit bad, thats np. but if ppl are messing around on purpose i got very little tollerance for that.
well yes.
depends, i mean for me a 15 was never a issue kinda, no i dont say this to brag i use it as an example so i can explain… How bad is the player? are talking HC dungeon bad trying a 15? or is it more like a +10 player bad?.. it all depends. and i always encourge ppl to become better and therefor one should seek harder content.
Yes I understand your perspective, depending on your luck and the environment you put yourself at, WoW can be very welcoming or very unwelcoming to new players.
I think a good idea is to join a community and perhaps try and do activities with them, you will find it much more welcoming there.
The leveling experience is usually filled with players that just want to reach the end game as fast as they can, so anything that slows them they will get rid of, and in most cases that means new players.
Try communicating that to them, perhaps people will be more tolerant then.
pretty much what Hínáta said above.
dont get discouraged from a bad run every now and then, idiots are literally everywhere, regardless of the realm they play on. Kazzak is a high pop realm, hence you ll naturally encounter more people from there and more people means also a higher chance of meeting bad apples.
edit: you ll also meet a bunch of decent people as well. Furysremac for example is from Kazzak iirc and hes as nice and helpful as can be.
Kazzak stands out specifically I believe because its a raiding realm, full of high end raiding guilds, which attracts a lot of players.
Being in a guild means you usually never bother with pugs, and since most of the good people are already in guilds, what’s left is the tryhards who tend tend to be very toxic, and one can easily guess why they aren’t in guilds.
keep in mind not every one wants to be in a guild, would you describe your self as toxic just because you are guildless. . stinky ppl are all over, in low content to the highest in guilds or without. some ppl are just really really messed up… what im trying to say, they could be in any place, take any possition
it might or not be the case, as other have said, its a high pop server with lots of players. more players = more players of every kind. perhaps kazzak has more toxic players than other servers it is idd possible. but i dont think it is the case. its rather that it has more players and the kazzak name is a name thats easy to remember.
As much as being votekiced by some tools is annoying, it is a very unlikely event.
If one finds themselves votekicked more than 2-3 times a year maybe they need to look into themselves.
Yeah, realm size probably has an impact on forming prejudices. How can you form prejudice on players from a tiny server which you only run into once a year, right?
However, regarding Kazzak, I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such high levels of toxicity from players on Argent Dawn. The other high population EU Alliance server is Silvermoon, and most of them also seem decent. But when it comes to Kazzak, it seems to me like they are way more likely to be toxic little brats.
Generally lore nerds, and thus fluffy nice most of the time (exceptions exist).
Yarp, and I’ll soon explain why!
I think this has to do with the fact that Kazzak used to be a PvP server. The majorty of douchenozzles I’ve met over the years were from PvP servers - and that still remains true on those now former PvP servers.
