VRR flicker

Hello, I have been trying to minimize VRR flicker in WoW Classic without much success. I’m wondering if anyone has managed to do so, especially at high framerate.

I have an OLED monitor so VRR flicker is to be expected without significant framerate variation. However in most other games it’s rarely noticeable outside of loading screens and other very peculiar framerate drops.

In WoW, at least the current build of Classic Era/Anniversary realms, flicker is noticeable regularly, and even trying to smooth out my framerate by capping it doesn’t help at all.
I have between 400 to 550fps in Ironforge bank/AH area if I uncap my fps, yet even capping it as low as 60 wont help with VRR flicker.

Here are my specs: 7800X3D, 4080S, 32GB of DDR5, Crucial T500, AW2725DF.

Do you have G-sync enabled in your Nvidia panel and in your monitor?

Yes, the VRR itself is working fine, and I’m confident the flicker is related as it goes away if I switch G-SYNC off.

I had G-sync bugging out a couple of times last year too.
The fix was to disable and re-enable it directly in my monitor OSD.

It’s called adaptive-sync in my LG displays.
