Vulpera Appreciation Thread šŸ¦Š

" An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded" Dawn of War.

Vulpera are not a part of nature.

All the beast races of azeroth. Besides worgen are actually native too Azerothā€¦ Unlike human dwarves and gnomes who where brought too Azeroth by the titans. So weā€™re actually more part of the nature than you guys :stuck_out_tongue:

As a Vulpera Druid, I fully agree. :dracthyr_nod:

ā€¦sigh
Iā€™m not even going to bother with this statement.

Worgen are the product of Druidism magics. Night Elves to be specific and they were magically changed from Dark Trolls. So you are wrong about the Worgen

You might as well be pod people that sprout from the ground. Technically Orcs were plant people as well.

Did the Goblin fingers wear off? I will fetch some more.

Yes but they come from the emerald dream. Not Azerothā€¦

But Vulpera are still apart of Azerothā€™s nature. They are native beings from Azeroth.

Dwarves and humans and gnomes where titan constructs who got the curse of flesh and became who they are today. So yesā€¦ Vulpera are very much apart of Azeroths nature, The way I see it.

Druidism is a power that is connected to all of creation which includes Azeroth.

Is there even a Vulpera origin story?

Nope  But I imagine they fall in line with the rest of the beast races of Azeroth and are native to Azeroth too. Unless blizzard releases new lore tomorrow stating otherwise.

Soooo Pod people that popped out of the ground then? Got it.

So? You can call us pod people all you want. Their still part of nature though.

Way more than people made out of stone slabs anyway

Druidism is a way of life in seeking balance and learning to live alongside nature.
And was thaught by Cenarius to the Yangol and the Night Elves.

It channels raw life magic into nature magic to make it tangible and controllable.
Itā€™s ā€œconnectedā€ to creation in that it channels life into a usable form.
Details depend on the RP interpretation as Iā€™ve seen various interpretations already about it.

And Worgen indeed came from the Emerald Dream, because a group of druids decided to follow the path of the Scythe, and worship Goldrinn, using pack form.
Sadly for them, it drove them insane and cursed them to become Worgen.
Kind of miss they removed the original quests from Ashenvale with Cataclysm to teach this

Different topic I donā€™t wanna get into here, as the Druids of the Pack went against Malfurionā€™s editctā€¦

But this distracts from the question whether Vulpera are part of Nature.
They are. Theyā€™re a native species to Azeroth, sadly without origin story thanks to Blizzard.
Thereā€™s however vague hints that they are originally from Azeroth and have representation in the Emerald Dream through Lord Renard.

You did say

But then responded

The pod people do need consistency.

The Pact form was uncontrollable and turned the Druids that practiced it into mindless beasts. Despite itā€™s power which was useful in the war of the Saytr it was too dangerous thus banned.
Scythe of Elune was used to control Worgen and such.
But the Drust demonstrates different power sources of Druidism. More specifically outlets of it. Drust - Loa - Emerald Dream - Wild gods etcā€¦

This is something Iā€™m actually trying to explore for roleplay purposes.
But itā€™s so hard to find any decent written information or synopsis unless going deep into the whole Troll Lore druid, which I donā€™t want to as Vulpera, just have some influences.

never let them know your next move!

Think of it like conduits of power.
Unfortunately they are destroying the retcon of the Light. Blizzard ignores the dual nature of the Naaru. Between Light and Void. Then there is Odinā€™s forces that uses the Light. The Church of the Holy Light was a different source of Light but then lazy Blizzard writers are trying to push Naaru on everything.
Then the Loa Kimbul/Shirvallah (who can only be tamed by Beast Master Hunters for some reason) have Light sourves as well.
Elune is also another source with possible Night Elf Lunar powered paladin.
Then there is the Tauren and Solar Light.

Exploring the power sources does flesh out the WORLD and adds to immersion.
Thornspeakers are not the same - so are immune to the scythe of Elune. Wild gods are the same as Loa.
Perhaps there will be more done to flesh out the world.
What are the power sources of each race?

forgot to mention that Tauren are Earth powered Druids.

I really hope they flesh it all out, not just for the sake of me wanting to play a druid Vulpera, but just for better world building, and finally after 20 years fill in all the damn gapsā€¦

Power Sources per Race

  • Night Elves : Clearly Elune here Iā€™d say. Could be a void Naaru for all we know.
  • Tauren: The Earth Mother, Sun and Moon
  • Trolls: Loa, the Ancients
  • Humans: The Light, The Church
  • Dwarves: ā€¦Azeroth?
  • Vulpera: Would most likely have Loa influences, e.g Akunda
  • Orcs: Fell and Demon Blood Honor and the elements, shamanism
  • Drenai : The light, The Naaru
  • Goblins: Money
  • Worgen: Nature, as their curse originates from the Emerald Dream
  • Blood Elves: Probably any source of mana?

In the end, itā€™s probably just going to boil down to one of the major cosmic powers:

  • Light
  • Life
  • Disorder
  • Death
  • Shadow
  • Order

Dwarves I would also say the Light. Theyā€™ve got a pretty significant tie to the Titans as well as a lot of investment in understanding them.

AND explosions. Or maybe the explosions are a byproduct of trying to save money.

Might be stupid question, but are Titans associated with Light?
Iā€™d associate them more with Order.

Youā€™re rightā€¦forgot the explosions xD

Iā€™ll be honest Iā€™ve no idea, Iā€™m just thinking Light = Titan because of all the Tyr stuff weā€™ve had in Dragonflight.
