[WA] - Brewmaster Stagger and Brews Tracking

Hello, fellow monks!

It seems that a lot of new brewmasters have a hard time wrapping their head around how stagger works, the use of brews, keeping track of their ironskin buff duration, and all that good mitigation stuff.

To help with this, i have made a group of WeakAuras which tracks several things:

  • your number of brew charges remaining, and the charge cooldown. The number on the icon shows how many charges you have left, and the spiral shows the cooldown for the next charge.

  • the remaining duration of your ironskin brew, in the form of a layered progress bar below your character. If it’s going close to all-red, it’s time to drink another ironskin brew. If it’s mostly yellow, you’re fine. If it’s starting to go green, then you are close to the buff’s duration cap, and should wait for it to deplete before drinking another ironskin brew.

  • The amount of damage currently staggered, as a percentage of your max health, in the form of a progress bar above your character. This bar starts of fully yellow when you have no staggered damage, and grows red as you stagger more and more damage. The redder it is, the more value a purifying brew will have.

All of these are handily displayed near the center of your screen, to help keep your eyes where they should be – near the dynamic action of the game, rather than in the corner or edges of your screen. (And also to fit aesthetically with the blizzard-default stagger color indicators around your character)

In general, if you keep both of these bar mostly yellow most of the time, while trying to save at least one brew charge for sticky moments, you should be in a good spot. As always, maintaining ironskin brew is generally more important than getting in a purifying brew, for most situations.

The weakaura can be imported from wago io:

(sorry, for the workaround - Apparently I can’t post links)

Of course, feel free to tweak the colors and display options to fit your tastes – you shouldn’t break anything unless you start fiddling with the triggers!

I hope this helps someone.

Best of luck, adventurer!

[edit: added a bit of details to the description, and improved the WeakAura’s colors slightly]

Thanks for sharing!

Can you perhaps put this on Wago, with a screenshot? That might be mighty helpful to see what we’d get, without having to log into the game and try it on a Brewmaster. <3

Good idea, thanks for your comment! I’ll do that!

OP updated with wago io link!
