Wait what? Why can you not reset mythic dungeons from Legion?

Doing some achievements for the balance of power appearance and just found out that the instances aren’t resetting like the SL instances, you can’t redo them on mythic if you failed to get the achievement on a boss the first time.

Why is this a thing?

Never knew even SL dungeons can be reset and done once again. I swear I tried this when doing Tazavesh once, and despite resetting, we were still 1/8 (killed the 1st boss for HM).

On the other hand, here’s what you can do:

  1. Park your toon (where you doing the dungeon) infront of the dungeon (this is important, because if you get the leader on the invited character, it will take your ID instead of your alt’s fresh ID).
  2. Create a group on the toon you didn’t clear the dungeon with
  3. Sign up with the character you’re doing it on
  4. Get back on the fresh alt, inv yourself.
  5. Accept inv on character 1, enter, GG, you are in a new ID. :slight_smile:

is not balance of power just killing a bunch mythic bosses and 2 raids for 2 weeks or so for the quest though ? been a while since i did mine

They mean unlocking another tint of the balance of power appearance, one of those tints needs the legion dungeon hero, which needs to be done on mythic difficulty.

Only SL dungeons can be reset, it sucks and I agree it should be changed for all dungeons but we were given a measley excuse for why it wasn’t done.

Mythic difficulty Dungeons have a mandatory weekly lockout for every Expansion they’ve been in; only Normal has been spammable & even Heroic used to have a Daily lockout.

No? I can do mists and then reset it and do it again if I want to.

Mythic 0 can be reset in SL.

Ok, so if you wait long enough for a soft reset, you can redo it as well.

WHY CAN WE NOT MANUALLY DO THIS?

I know bfa mythics can be reset. Not sure about legion ones

Can you reset and get loot though?
I remember in legion we did reset mythic dungeons (maw of souls i look at you) to do the weekly 4 mythic dungeons.

No you cant. Only bonusroll loot.
