Hi there !
Since real life forced me to play WoW in super casual mod only, am trying hard to perceive this game as… well, just a game.
So with that casual and experimental regime am currently playing and will play for the next 4-6 months or more (forever) I want to taste retail.
Last time I played retail was in tbc 2007 (or 2008 ?, cant recall) and was very shortly, like few weeks after tbc patch. I played it like noob, only doing world stuff and never got in any dungeon/raid. I like lore and storyline (until Cata tbh) and use to watch trailers and cutscenes on youtube.
But still, without playing any content besides classic I feel like completly and ultimatly lost. There is infinitely bunch of things that can be done, from which I can have fun.
There are hundreds of reputation grinds (with their rewards), thousands of super fun quests (quite few that gives unique rewards), dozens of diferent and usefull cons, toys, mounts, proffesions, perks?, skills?, gems?, inscription?, glyphs?, heirlooms??? and so on…
There is so much content to pick from…
To make this long story short, I dont want to pick wrong and boring and no rewarding piece of content and skip good one while getting to my lvl 110.
Can I solo (should I) most of dungeons on my way to 60?
Should I use exp boost things and what are they and how to get them ?
Should I level 60 to 70 in Outlands ? (can I solo dungeons there while leveling and should I ?)
Should I level 70 to 80 in Northrend? (can I solo dungeons there while leveling and should I ?)
Start at the end and work your way backwards. Start with the latest Battle For Azeroth (newest expansionpack) content, doing relevant quests and dungeons In Boralus to unlock relevant zones and gear on 120 together with events and world quests, then work backwards to early BFA content.
On you way TO 120:
Theres no soloing dungeons during leveling, queue up in the dungeon finder to find relevant dungeons and people for your level.
You can, but it is of course, not required. theres no law on how fast you have to level. They are called heirlooms and can be bought from guild vendors or some PvP vendors but can be quite pricey if you dont already have a gold stash to nibble off of.
Leveling is faster now and you often outlevel a zone or Xpac before you really get going in it. Keep checking “war boards” or your “adventurers journal” for tips on quest starters for your level. (while still using dungeon finder to queue for dungeons in the current level range)
See above
Nothing really changes at 80 except yet another xpac. Keep checking for quest starters in new zones, keep queueing for dungeons, assuming you want go all the way to 120 that is. Im pretty sure Battle for Azeroth (the latest xpac), comes with previous packs. If not, check the alternatives for Legion and Battle For Azeroth
Also alot of things comes with a free level 120 Boost these days allowing you to just start with 120 content without the current chaotic leveling situation.
Its a big question that cannot be answered simply without writing way too much. Hopefully its a start.
Hello Vidovdan. In my opinion i think it’s kinda too late to try out end game BFA,stuff like 2k pvp,10+ mythic or anything past normal raids.Cause for those stuff you need tier 3 rank essences, cloak corruptions 15 level + corruption ressistance. If you are sure about the class you want to main and play thats great but i would say now is the perfect time to level classes with the Xp buff and Timewalking events we have going on.
Also a big thing, Server,it is important to pick the big one.I will go on a limb here and say you want to play as Alliance, two servers come into question Silvermoon and Revencrest those are 1. and 3. biggest EU/EN servers.(2. in Argent Dawn but thats a rp realm) for Alliance players.
